People say Cuisinart is really similar to Allclad.

Got this instead of AllClad - Very happy

I have an engineer's brain (and education). I did a lot of research on pots and pans, and learned all about multi-cladding and why it's important and beneficial. I watched America's Test Kitchen where they said the AllClad 12" mutli-clad fry pan was their top pick. The features they liked were the rounded lip of the pan, and the design of the handle with the "trough" for your fingers to lock into. But that's a $100 pan. An AllClad set much like this Cuisinart one is $600+. I just couldn't justify that cost. So, I ready a bunch of reviews on this Cuisinart multi-clad set. These pots and pans have similar rounded lips and handle designs as the AllClad pans, but at a third of the cost. And holy wow, these Cuisinarts to a great job at distributing heat. Everything happens more evenly and quickly on my crappy electric stove than it ever did on any of my old disc-bottom pans. Plus, I did end up going ahead an buying that one 12" AllClad fry pan, so I have a direct comparison, and I have to say, I actually like the handles on the Cuisinarts better than the one on my AllClad (that America's Test Kitchen) liked so well. The Cuisinarts have the same top "trough," but the bottom of them aren't rounded like on the AllClad which makes them feel more stable and grippy in my hand. The handles stay cool and comfortable, and they are pretty looking pans. They are as difficult/easy as any stainless pan. Sometimes stuff gets stuck on. A little soaking, and sometimes some scrubbing with a scrung... Read More

Excellent quality and value!

Im so happy with this product! I had set aside 900$ to buy all-clad 5-plyI when i realized that SS pans (even allclad) dont keep their pristine shiny fonish as when u first buy them. So i bought these instead which had glowing reviews almost as high as the allclad i was looking at. I love my pans and i love knowing i got much beterr "value for money". I've had them for 4 years now, they heat well and lay properly on electric coils and fire plates (ive had 2 different ovens now bc we moved). They have a 20 year warranty on them although im not sure how to redeem a warranty like that when buying from amazon instead of bed bath and beyond. Stainless steel is easy to clean with Barkeepers Friend for stainless. You can bake a nonstick "finish" on stainless called "SEASONING THE PAN", but generally what you would do is heat the pan first, then heat the oil (slightly more oil needed for SS than for nonstick) and then add your food which will get you a "nonstick" result but it will never be as nonstick as nonstick-pans. Of course you dont get all of the chemicals in your food with SSPan as with NSPans and SS will last FOREVER (just about). Im very happy with my pans.

Outstanding Cookware at a Bargain Price!

Amazing set!! Compares very well with pieces of AllClad D3 cookware I have. First thing that impressed me when I opened the box was the how well made and heavy duty this stainless steel cookware is. If you're looking for a thin walled light duty set of cookware this is not the set for you. I believe I could hammer nails into a 2x4 with any of the pots or fry pans. As for how they cook, well I've cooked a few meals in them and I'm just as impressed with how well the conduct heat uniformly and don't produce hot spots. Honestly, this set holds it own with much more expensive sets from companies like AllClad and I consider this purchase a bargain . This set will easily last a lifetime, they should be charging more for it

Always wanted AllClad

Don't mind at all that I saved hundreds of $'s and got these instead. They really do clean easily; we've been using them for months and they're still super shiny. Sturdy handles, flat bottoms, good heat retention and even heating I have no real complaints at this price point. I do wish the steamer fit inside the big pot so you could use it strain pasta too, and that the lids were glass so I could see what was happening in there, but I'm nit picking.

They certainly DO the job.

The handles and knob lids were coming apart on my Belgique (Macy's) set and I only had it about 25 years. So I was looking for a new set. I had bought three Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel saucepans for my son and he liked them very much. After seeing them come out of his dishwasher multiple times, I decided to go for the full set of 12 instead of the smaller 7 piece set. Buying those three saucepans cost me nearly as much as this 12 piece set. I did not get the 4 quart saucepan (son has it) because it is actually too heavy for me to lift when there is food in it. I have now used several of these saucepans. Pasta sauce is pretty acidic, but I noticed no spots. Now, like some others here, I didn't buy them to look at. I used an SOS pad on one of them, and OK, there may be some scratches but it's to be expected. No acidic problem at all. Washed ALL of them in a Bosch dishwasher. So far, there are no problems. I love the way the lids FIT! My brother has had his AllClad for about 30 years. It has all the usual problems that all stainless does. I will never use a coated pan as I don't think the coating stays on the pan. I'm always thinking I can taste it (LOL) So, I don't care of stuff sticks a bit. I expect it. So far, I'm very happy with this set.

We love our new MultiClad Pro Stainless cookware from Cuisinart

We love our new MultiClad Pro Stainless cookware from Cuisinart. We'd been using SS cookware for over twenty years, so were very familiar with the cooking characteristics of SS. Our old cookware was nice, but not as well built as the Cuisinart. The handles were rolled/formed SS sheet that were tack welded to the pans. I did not feel secure at all if I had to pick up, for example, a saute pan full of hot spaghetti sauce by the handle. By comparison, these solid SS Cuisinart handles are very heavy duty, and riveted securely to the pan. No insecurity there! It takes a bit longer for these MultiClad pans to heat up, compared to our older single layer SS cookware, but that's to be expected. They heat evenly and hold the heat well. They are also quite beautiful. You can use metal utensils on them, but we try to use non-scratching plastic or silicon spoons & spatula's, etc, to preserve the gorgeous mirror finishes on these pans. The lids are also beautiful and fit very well. The tapered rims make for easy pouring from the pans. Yes, I would've loved to have the same pans by AllClad Copper Core, but I could not justify spending 3 to 4 times as much for them. I highly recommend this MCP-12N MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set.

Excellent pans - they look as good as they cook.

I selected these pans after way too much emoting compared with the two other makes of multi-clad pans (but never tempted by All Clad). Truth is, both these and the Duxtop I would expect would work great - but in the end, I purchased this product, and I'm very, very happy. As most of my life I had cooked on non-stick (Farberware professional Silverstone) pans, I was concerned about food sticking. I did my research (many good sites out there) and am glad to say - except for eggs, its just not a problem. I follow the rule to heat the pan some first before adding my oil, etc, don't worry about initial food sticking - it really DOES unstick mostly after it cooks a bit more... and have grown to enjoy making gravy and sauces with the little bits on the bottom. The pans do clean up perfectly with soap and a light-duty scrubbie - though you can save almost all your labor by letting some water sit in them for a few minutes, and everything comes off (I use a Lunatec dishtowel, also from Amazon). If you need extra help in special cases, either a baking soda paste or bartenders friend works fine. In return for this incremental trouble, you get to feel like a professional chef. The pans are works of art to behold, with a beautiful mirror finish, very thick and solid feeling, and, yes - the heat really DOES climb up the side compared with bottom heating pans. They are just beautiful to handle and use. The lids fit well, are heavy-duty and are well designed with a concave shape (sheds cond... Read More

Awesome set, why pay more?

I am so happy I bought this cookware set. Why pay all the extra money for AllClad when you don't need to? They are nice, heavy pans and cook like a dream. I'm very satisfied.

Great pan set for an "allclad" type.

Heavier than other sets in it's price point and with the extra off I got with the holiday coupon this set was a great deal. Wife loves it , but they do take a bit of time to understand how to cook on them.

Great Alternative to Ultra Expensive AllClads

I love this cookware set. I was looking into AllClad but I really didn't want to spend all that money. This set provides the same stainless steel triple clad product at a much better cost. I actually like the feel of these handles much better than my AllClad pieces. They are so pretty looking and cook and clean easily. I've had no problems at all and I will continue to add to the set with individual pieces from the same line without hesitation.
