Break-in was Quick

I bought these as an alternative to a tie up boot and considered this vs. the Blundstones variant. Out of the box, they are are tight to get on and off. 2 days later, I was good to go. I'm impressed with the looks and the grip type.

Chosen over Blundstones and don’t regret it at all.

I ordered these in a wide size so that’s why I answered the “width” scale as I did. These are great boots. Heavy duty and already worn while digging holes and trudging in the mud. Washed them off and they’re back to “presentable.” I plan to buy another pair when the soles wear out. I chose these over Blundstone ones after someone suggested them and I’m glad I did since they’re about $100 less and probably going to last much longer.

Wide In The Wrong Places

I find that these boots are actually pretty comfortable but I would caution against wearing them all day every day. The forefoot is wide enough, I ordered a wide size, but the heel cup is unexpectedly wide, which causes the boot heel to slip up and down while walking. The outsole is quite soft and comfortable. The removable insole provides a moderate amount of arch support. The leather is attractive and relatively soft. The elastic at the gore of the boot seems like it will stretch out pretty quickly. In comparison to a Blundstone boot, which I assume is the intended competitor, these boots are perhaps 10% less comfortable in terms of fit but significantly better in terms of price.
