Wow! STEREO Pairing AND GREAT Sound! UPDATE: 3-25-19
Updated 5-4-19: I returned the Anker Soundcore II due to the speaker losing bass and the power button went wonky. Anker did step up and sent me FOR FREE an Anker SoundCore Boost 20W Bluetooth Speaker with BassUp Techno! These sound way better than a single Oontz Angle 3 Ultra, way better. But, I would take a pair of the OontZ speakers and listen in stereo. You can get 2 Oontz Angle 3 Ultars for the price of one Anker. The Anker speaker rocks, but stereo is much better listening experience. Oh, Anker upgraded my speaker and honored the warranty even though 30 day window had passed. CHANGES TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: 1. The OontZ Angle 3 Ultra (oa3u) sounds better in bass and full sound than the Anker Soundcore II (ASII). Not as clear in the highs but better overall sound 2. Higher volumes, the OAS3U beats the ASII. 3. While not suited for a outdoor party filled with drinking friends who are talking loudly, they are more than adequate for a family gathering where people are talking but not drunk. More for patio than yard use. 4. When used with jetAudio EQ, these little speakers sound extremely good and the bass moves up, while not distorting. I listened to the following songs and compared these OA3U speakers with the ASII: Damian Marley - All Night; Depeche Mode - Lie To Me; Supertramp - Oh Darling; Level 42 - Something About You. Great Speakers
I have a Bose Sound Link speaker and I was very frustrated about the limited battery life and the inability to connect to the device while it was charging. I saw the great reviews on this product and decided to take the chance and buy it. I am so glad that I did! I bought two of them so I could link them together for stereo sound. The devices charged up quickly and I was able to pair them to my iPhone very easily. I was afraid I would have trouble linking the second speaker for the stereo sound, but it was incredibly easy. Both my husband and I were very impressed with the sound from the speakers. I have only had them a short time, but they are working perfectly. For the price (far less than the Bose) they are an excellent purchase. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Luv them, luv them, luv them!
I absolutely love these speakers! I researched all the speakers from the reviews and descriptions. I had to return my mini Bose because the Bluetooth quit working so I wanted to try something else louder and less expensive. I have little square jbls and there great for a small area. The old jam box wasn’t loud enough and to short of battery time. The jbl speaker that’s comparable to this doesn’t have as much base. But a really solid sound and good volume, I love it I was concerned when they arrived ( two days) because they were so quiet. So I charged them overnight and the next day my daughter and I were so excited to try them while cooking in the kitchen, we were blown away with the pure awesomeness of this little pare! You can actually feel the vibration!! There easy to Bluetooth together. Theses are the only ones I found that did this without a cord in this price range. Then outside in the huge backyard I had no problem staying connected to them, around buildings and trees, no cutting out at all and when you get between them it feels wonderful!! I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I hope there’r powerful enough to overpower the sound of the ocean on the deck in baja, yes , I love music when I’m working in the sand! Ja ja! We used them almost on full for 4 or 5 hrs and it didn’t seem to faze the charge. The Bose only lasted a couple hrs, very disappointing! It also lacked base compared to this. I love my new speakers and will recommend them to anyone

Great product for the price, has track back/forward buttons
I own the Bose Mini, a nice Sony, a TDK, and a few other portable blue tooth speakers. I got this for the bathroom since it is water resistant, the Bose is not AND it has track forward/back buttons! We use it in a shower caddy and listen to it during our morning routines/showers. It works well for this and no worries of it getting wet. Why I bought it and enjoy about it - it has back/forward buttons on the unit so I can quickly and easily move through a song, next song, rewind at a touch of the button since we don't keep our phone near us in the shower. None of my other mobile units have that capability, none of the Bose, and most other units I researched on Amazon didn't have those functions. We enjoy being able to easily forward a song on Pandora or XM while listening in the shower just by touching a button. The sound is good for the size, not as good as the Bose, but good for the price and plenty good enough for the shower. I give it a 5 star for sound per size/cost, a 5+ star for features and ease of use, and build quality. For the price and the great features and decent sound along with water resistance, you can't beat it. Having the track back/forward buttons on the unit was the deal maker - apparently that function is too hard to comprehend and implement for Bose and all the other manufacturers out there. For the price, it's a 5-star product.
This is absolutely worth 40-ish bucks! I've had a lot of BT speakers and feel I can weigh in accurately. You have to set your expectations appropriately and you will not be disappointed. For around $40 you get a compact, tough speaker that pumps out some high volume and doesn't lose clarity which is important because that's the first thing that happens to low-quality speakers: you crank em and they crackle. I've had speakers twice this size sound remarkably similar. I don't find the bass to be *mind blowing* like I've seen in some other reviews. But the reality is that with 14w and $40 it really shouldn't blast your hair back, ya know? I will say that the bass is well-balanced. It is present and rich sounding, but it isn't going to shake your pictures off the wall. For comparison, the Bose Soundlink II has SUPERIOR bass and sound quality. What would you expect from a name like Bose for $130? SUPERIOR performance, right? So there ya go. Don't over think it. If you're looking for Bose quality, you're not likely to find it under $80 for a BT speaker. If you're shopping on the more budget-conscious side of things, you won't be disappointed with this speaker. Best portable speaker I have owned
This is the best quality portable speaker I have ever owned. And I've tried several. I bought two of these. One for me and one for someone else. We have had them for over two years now. Neither has ever failed. The sound isn't Bose but it is still pretty awesome considering it is only 14 watts. Must be due to the superior work inside the speaker. The sound really is very good. I have cranked this speaker up to its maximum volume and there was no distortion. The sound quality remained excellent. I also often use this speaker for watching movies on my laptop. Rarely are speakers, on a laptop, fantastic. So, this portable speaker allows me to have a more immersive experience while I'm streaming a show or movie on my laptop. The sound is amazing for this as well. The battery life is amazingly long. It really is 20 hours of continuous play! What I like about it is that if you stop playing your music, but forget to turn the speaker off, eventually it will turn itself off, which saves on the battery. Additionally, it charges back up pretty fast. It always quickly connects to whatever device I'm pairing it with. This includes my laptop or my phone. And its promise of a 100 foot range has been tested multiple times. This surprised me and I was glad to see that it delivered on this promise. Long lasting boom box
The sound quality on this thing is great. The bass bumps way more than you'd expect. This is my second one. Had the first for about three years and it still works. Gave it to my son who uses it. The cage came off by the second year. This version fixed that issue. I work 10-12 hours a day driving a hyster 120. This speakers sits in my paper holder all day long. Cutting through all that sound my forks make. It you are looking for something to mow your lawn with. This speaker is perfect. A bunch of people I know have bought their own after hearing mine. I've had this one for about a year now and it still holds charge. I use it 5 says a week all day long. I've tried others both cheaper and more expensive. This is the best one I've found. AMy partner uses a JBL and this thing drowns that speaker out everytime I drive by and costs 60 bucks less. Pyle has nothing on these. I've tried that bazooka they sell and it wasn't as loud, had no bass in comparison, and died fast. Oontzs' only competition, in my opinion, is in the Bose level pricing. The build: this thing is tough. Tougher than even the older models. I drop it about five feet everyday. My pyle broke after a few drops. The drop a lift of metal studs on my old one and all it did was damage the cage assembly. The case integrity is still strong. It still bumps. Cons. Sometimes I activate surround sound. Great little speaker! A big improvement from Angle 3 Plus.
Received the speaker today. It looks just like the Angle 3 Plus that I have. But this baby really rocks. It sounds much more fuller than the Angle 3 Plus. The bass is definitely present. It sounds good and enjoyable. The big surprise is the way this speaker vibrate and shakes - like nothing I have ever seen before. Strangely it does not seem to be causing acoustic distortion. Yes! I like it. The Angle 3 Plus was ok - this is a pleasant surprise! ---- 2021 July Update I am still using this spear everyday. Now I have two. Since I am using Kef SL50 wireless for music now, OontZ Angle 3 Ultra is paired and used as soundbar alternative. The sound is clear, and enjoyable. Better than the sound coming from the flat screen TV. Dialogues are clear sounding. It certainly does not have the same 3D effects of a Bose home theatre system, but still produces sense of space. I was shopping for a good soundbar system. The good ones were expensive, the average ones were useless. Then I thought of using the OontZ Angle 3 Ultra temporarily. I never looked back. But if you are looking for a cinematic 3D effect, you will need a bigger and better system. For blockbuster movies OontZ Angle 3 Ultra does not produce enough bass. These speakers (and the company that makes them) rock! My search is finally over!
I've purchased several other small Bluetooth speakers from Amazon trying to find one that didn't sound tiny and tinny but even though they all had great reviews, I wasn't impressed with the sound at all. Like slightly louder cell phone speakers - no bass, no depth. I honestly couldn't understand why they had good reviews. This is why I was worried about trying the OontZ Angle 3 Ultra. Still, I was determined to find something that I could use in the shower that sounded at least as good as my Amazon Tap's speaker, and what was I going to do, try to find one with bad reviews? I had put one of these speakers in the "save for later" section of my Amazon cart and through a happy ordering mishap that involved my wife and I both putting one into the cart while making a large order together, I ended up ordering and receiving two speakers. Boy am I glad I did! When I saw them in the box I remembered that they would pair together and play in stereo with two of them, so I decided to give it a try instead of returning the second one right away. It was easy to pair with my Echo dot, and easy to pair them to one another for left and right channel stereo sound. WOW A Must Have Companion
Okay my 1st 5 star review and here's why : retired audio video man I have a really nice system that I'm restricted from cranking the tunes up from 10pm to 10am , so after looking and reading reviews of top brands I'm already familiar with bose , JBL's and others I went with this little gem. It sounds freaking incredible for its size and and I carry it everywhere through my apt. I have have dropped it from the top of my refrigerator and also from standing position. Look short of throwing it in my bathtub full of water (just kidding) this is so much affordable and I can tell you this take even the bose and the sound quality will not be negotiable for the price don't be a idiot and waste your money on what you believe is the best according to name brand.
