WAS SKEPTICAL - BUT SO GLAD I GAVE IT A CHANCE NOW!!!!!

I'm a lifetime Norelco consumer & owned 8 or 9 of their shavers over time -- One time I bought an expensive Braun & hated it, then gave it away. I said I'd stay w/Norelco from then on but I gave this one a shot. Norelco performed well.. I'd even shave driving to work & shave my 5 O' Clock shadow on drive home.. no mirror needed. The issue was in 4 to 5 months, the blades would be dull so that it took double or triple the number of passes to shave the same amount of facial hair. Replacement blades are THE SAME price as a whole new shaver, no joke, and that's why I've owned so many. I was looking for another Norelco on Prime Day when I found this one. It was so economic it worried me & I hadn't heard of the brand but fed up with the money game Norelco plays, this one was priced so low with a huge # of high rated reviews so I figured it wasn't much of a gamble at the sale price. This thing is BETTER than Norelco.. it has all the same features, great quality, shaves nicely and I can still shave and drive without nicking or missing a spot. Someone in the reviews knocked the pop-up trimmer & I don't know why.. it's great! If I have to buy a new one of these every 4 or 5 months, I wouldn't mind at all. A month of shaves would make the purchase worth it, but I'm confident it will stand up to the Norelco at a minimum, easily. I could not recommend this shaver more strongly!!!

Can't beat this electric razor

I have been using Norelco electric razors since the 60's. They were great then and I could and did use the blades for years without changing them and they worked great. However, as time has gone on the quality has gone down and the price has gone up. It's gone up so much that it's initial cost is prohibitive for many and if that isn't bad enough the replacement blades are exorbitant too. Finally, this year I said enough and decided to check Amazon and found several electric razors(that I honestly never heard of before) that were similar in design to Norelco but at a fraction of the cost. So I thought what the heck and rolled the dice and bought this Hatteker razor. I've never heard of them before and still don't know what else if anything they make but I can say this razor was delivered in a well protected box and on time. I've used it for a couple of months now and I really like the charge time, both the time it takes to charge it and the charge it holds. I don't know what the replaceable blades cost or even if it is possible to replace them at this price I don't care. I can buy a whole new razor. If you're tired of paying right around $100 or more for a Norelco or Braun then give yourself a break and try this razor. I've got better things to spend my money on than expensive razors that don't perform.

Very Pleasantly Surprised

I've been using this shaver for about a week. In the past I've always used Braun electric foil shavers so this is my first experience with a rotary. The Brauns usually cost $150-200 so I was a little skeptical based on the price of this shaver but based on the reviews I thought it was worth a shot. For only $30 (which is less than I have been paying for Braun replacement heads) I think this razor works very good. I have somewhat sensitive skin and would get ingrown hairs with the foil shaver, but so far this shaver has not given me any and my face feels really good. It is super quiet too compared to my previous shaver. We will see how it stands the test of time but even if it only lasts 6 months its seems worth it. When the blades need to be replaced I will probably just by a whole new shaver. Hopefully the manufacturer won't change anything about this product. It seems that all these shaver makers are always trying to make things 'better' or 'improved' so they can charge more. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I will post an update if something changes. As of right now I would definitely recommend for a light to medium beard shaved daily.

Good cheap razor.

My old Braun finally gave up the ghost (it was almost 20 years old), so I had to get something cheap and quick. This one fit the bill, as I was looking for a rotary razor to try something different. Good little razor. My only downside was the irritation it caused on my neck, but that's not the fault of the razor... just my neck. It does a great job of cutting everything, as I've recently starting shaving my balding head. Holds just enough charge to cut everything with about 10 minutes left, and cuts it close enough that I can usually skip the next day before needing to shave again.

So far so good

I’m a few months in and this razor has been great. I bout it to replace a Braun. I was a little hesitant because it was so cheap but it has worked well and actually shaves closer than the Braun did. It feels kind light in the hand and not “solid” like a higher end razor, but I can’t complain with the results.

Best razor I have ever used! Bar none!

I have owned $250 Braun razors and many other name brand expensive razors and not one of them cuts like this one does! This is hands down the best cutting razor I have ever tried. I have no idea how the blades will hold up...but no razor has ever cut this close and with one pass over your skin you are golden! It’s really amazing actually!!!!!

Honest Review - Does Pretty Well for a $27 Razor

If you're like me, you are sick and tired of paid puff reviews that can't even demonstrate a basic grasp of the English language, or hatchet flame jobs from folks with bloated expectations. So here we go - Bottom Line - It's a $27 electric razor. It's not a high end Braun. It's not a high end Norelco. You're not going to find it in the Sharper Image catalog. But for the money, the features and performance are honstly a good value. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to replace a blade or as your primary shaving implement unless you're something of a baby face. Don't expect it to mow through a five day stubble patch, but if you are looking for a backup, or something you can take camping or carry in the vehicle for a quick touch up, it does a good job. IMHO, it performs better wet than dry, and the shower-proof design is a good bonus at this price point, especially if sport a shaved head. It won't leave you slick like a blade, but it does shave pretty smooth, so you won't end up like sandpaper either. The heft and feel is just a tad lighter than what I would expect from a $40-50 Norelco like you'd pick up at the drug store - most likely because (as noted below) you don't have a heavy internal AC transformer or a big battery in this unit. Pros - Price. USB charging which means you can take this thing on the road, charge it in a vehicle, from a solar panel, off your computer at work, or whatever. It's shower safe, which if you have a clean-shaven head like I do, is a plus. Tra... Read More

Pretty good

Overall the razor is pretty good. I had a Braun foil razor before and would leave some areas on my face with longer hairs than I wanted. This razor gets everywhere very well. It doesn't cut as close as the foil, but it is close enough for me. One oddity I have observed now after two charge cycles is that when the razor hits 25 minutes left, I may get one more shave before it completely dies. I know I am getting a lot of shave time out of it (way more than the Braun), so it could be just that the counter is messed up. Also the pop-up trimmer is pretty useless. It cuts, but just barely. Trying to trim anything is kind of a hit or miss operation. And the angle is all off. I feel like the pop up arm needs to extend further. Not a huge deal for me.

This isn't bad as a travel razor but quality is clearly not Norelco, Braun or Remington level

It is okay. Feels light and rather insubstantial. Battery life is good. Seems to cut okay but I doubt this is made to last. I would not rely on this as my only razor.
