Pretty impressed!

I received this in mail today. Bought Green. Size Medium. I’m 5’9 165 pounds. Hourglass figure. DDD chest. Was still big enough. I really like it. Especially for the price. I own Canada Goose and Moncler winter coats and this is nice quality. And more roomy than their coats! Love the silver zippers and Orange lining. I read a lot of reviews saying it was too big, too small etc. It fits on the larger end on me, especially in the upper front and upper back. I wouldn’t order up sizes. I needed something to walk the dog at night when it gets chilly. Like the pockets! Hopefully I can machine wash. I wash everything before I wear it.

i sized down For a fitted look, excelled quality, impressed.

I’m 5’1” 125 lbs athletic build with bold shoulders. That being said, I don’t like bulky jackets too big on my upper body because it makes me look “stocky”. I usually am a small in everything however I bought an Xs In this since it looks big. It fits perfect. It is a little tight around my bottom but with the side zippers unzipped it’s perfect. I probably couldn’t wear a thick sweater under it (which according to the bloggers and reviews you don’t need it due to the warmth), but plenty of room for thermals. The Xs is nice and tight around the arms and doesn’t give me that bulky look so I’m glad I didn’t get the small. If you’re a larger size than me in the bottoms or don’t like a constricting jacket I would recommend the small for comfort (or size up 1 size) of the waist area though. I’m a size 4 pants usually, 28, wear smalls in most bottoms. If the size zippers weren’t unzipped I wouldn’t be able to zip the coat on the bottom. I waited to get this on sale. I used to live in Alaska and have Canada Goose and pajar coats (All in Xs as well) and I bought this to wear on days that I wouldn’t want to get them messed up (running errands, etc.) for the price of this I am extremely impressed with the quality. It’s thick and heavier than I expected. I inspected the zippers and seams and there are no tears like some other people said. I think those may have resulted from buying too small of a size because the arms and bottom are on the smaller end compared to other coats I have.

Way nicer than I thought it would be

I'm thrilled...so glad I pulled the trigger and finally ordered it. I'm 5'3 about 125 to 128 lbs and the small fits great. It's much heavier than I thought and better material than I anticipated after reading some of the unhappy reviews. I thought it would have really thin, cheap lining but it actually doesn't. I am pleasantly surprised. The fleece lining of the hood is nice and thick and the coat is extremely warm. No gross feather smell either. I like how the cuffs are fitted so no wind gets in your sleeves. I don't foresee a problem with the zippers but I'll edit this review if I do encounter issues in the future. It's funky...very different. Wish I had it last year that I was living year round in NY. I probably won't be able to control myself and I'll end up buying a few more colors. The only thing I feel super guilty about is that I succumbed to wanting this style instead of buying from a company that ethically/humanely sources it's down/feathers. It makes me cringe and breaks my heart that a lot of companies use suppliers that partake in practices such as live plucking....its so inhumane and unnecessary. They just want to have the feathers regrow so they can live pluck these poor animals over and over again : ( If I could afford it right now, I'd buy a Parajumpers coat- they ethically/humanely source their materials. Stay away from Canada Goose- as nice as they are- they're a major user of down/feathers from suppliers that live-pluck ducks and geese. Anyway, I digress..... Read More

Warmest of Warm Coats!

So, I bought into the hype surrounding this coat, and decided to order it. I'm a sucker for coats! I decided to buy the Medium based on the reviews of it running small. I typically wear a small in coats and a 4-6 in most clothing. I am 5'6" and about 135. I am pretty curvy (32 DD) with hips and a booty, and I wanted to be able to layer it over bulkier clothes. I'm glad I got the medium! It is really roomy in the chest and shoulder area, but this makes it feel extra cozy! Even the medium was somewhat snug at the very bottom without a bit of the side panels unzipped. It almost feels like it has a cocoon shape to it, getting narrower towards the bottom. Since there are panels underneath the zippers, it still looks very cute with them unzipped and gave me the looser look I wanted. In terms of warmth, this coat is remarkable!! I have a very expensive Canada Goose coat which I LOVE, and I would say this matches it in terms of warmth. I know that some people have commented negatively about the quality of this coat, but I have found it to be above average! No trouble with the zippers or anything. One thing that surprised me was the bright orange lining! I guess I didn't pay attention to that in reviews or description. It sort of reminds me of hunting attire, but you can't see it when the coat is zipped. I am very happy i decided to buy this coat!

Great Value!!

Sooo. My coworker wore this coat last week. It was super cute, I bought it in green (different color, can’t be twinning at work). I was then shouted out in every store Black Friday, “OMG THE AMAZON COAT!”. I read the reviews before buying it and saw the critiques about quality, smell etc. OVERALL: GREAT BUY! Let me level set. This isn’t a Canada Goose or Moncler coat that you spend literally THOUSANDS of dollars on. It is a $139 coat. You get what you pay for. There may be stitching slightly off or threads exposed - again, it’s NOT a Moncler, it’s $139. Now having said that, I’m really impressed with the overall look, quality, WARMTH and functionality. Definitely use tennis balls and toss it in the dryer on a low setting and for just a few minutes to knock out the wrinkles and eliminate the plastic smell. Get fancy and throw a dryer sheet in for a fresher smell. I live in Chicago and have worn it walking my dog when the temps dipped to 20 degrees. I wasn’t wearing a sweater underneath, just a tank and was still warm. Noooooow I wouldn’t try it with below zero temps unless layered. FIT: I am 5’4/size 12 pant/31in waist; thick thighs. The ONLY reason I mention that is because it hits me mid thigh. I bought a large and a medium. The medium fits me perfectly! Not too snug in the hips or hind parts. If I wanted to wear thick sweaters or sweatshirts then I’d keep the Large just to have a bit more room. But the medium gives me room to wear long sleeves or a thicker top. The side z... Read More

Pros: value, warmth, and style! POST WINTER UPDATE

Reasons I love this coat: 1. I have hips. Not huge hips, but I'm not a straight body type, I'm curvy. Most parkas are tight across my hips, which makes me self conscious and makes me not want to zip up my coat even when it's really cold, but this one solves that problem with the zippers on the side! 2. It's extremely warm. I live in Chicago, so it gets real cold. I wasn't expecting it to be that warm for this price, so that's awesome! 3. It costs less than $80. In my lifetime parkas were $100, then north face started charging $500 so everyone else was like, we can charge half that! So then parkas were $250. And now Canada goose comes along and charges $1000, so everyone else thinks they can charge half that, and now parkas at many stores are $500. That doesn't seem right. 4. There are hand warmer pockets on the side seams! I didn't know that from the pictures. Con: the zipper is cheap. When it finally gets stuck, I will take it to the tailor and have an expensive zipper put on, and then this parka will have cost me $95 dollars. UPDATE: It made it through the winter (well, it's April and there's a fresh inch of snow on the ground here, so I guess it's still winter?). The zippers all still work. The side slit hand warmer pockets are only lined in thin nylon, and while they are super warm because they're under the down layer, the nylon did rip at the corners in both pockets. So I will have to sew that up before next year. BUT a new PRO: the front zip pockets are so big and squ... Read More

LOVE LOVE LOVE !!

Heard about this jacket from the Today Show insta - "Dubbed the 'Upper East Side mom coat'" ... so naturally I had to purchase it :) I am 5'11" and usually wear a Large/size10/12 and ordered the XL due to other review advice - fits perfectly! Super warm during cold MN winter days. Awesome trendy alternative to the classic North Face/Canada Goose coats we all have!

Great Coat, Warm but not too warm

I love this coat. I am 5'2" and 115 pounds and ordered the XS without the fur hood. I have a Canada Goose, which I love, but sometimes it's just too warm. This coat was a perfect solution. It's lightweight and stylish.

Don’t be nervous about this coat—-it’s fantastic!!!

I was on the fence about getting this coat. I really liked it but was nervous about ordering it. While a lot of the reviews were positive, the negative ones made me have second thoughts. I so glad I didn’t pay attention to those and went for it. I love this coat!!! It’s super warm-and I live in Boston. I bought a small, as that’s my usual size, and the fit is perfect!!! So my advice would be to order it whatever you normally wear. The quality is better than I thought it would be, it’s really well made. My other coats are by Canada Goose and Moncler, so I definitely appreciate a good coat. If you’re on the fence about this coat, don’t be, you’ll love it!

Shorting Canada Goose

For the price this coat is a winner. Brands like Canada Goose and Moncler have to wonder about their long term viability. We have seen millionaires and billionaires walking the Upper East Side proudly wearing their $130 Chinese made, Prime delivered fashion statement. While buying a cheap winter coat does not mean the Socialist Dems have a chance in 2020, this coat certainly represents a shift in buying patterns. With nothing more than some social media coverage and no mass marketing, this company has over 6000 reviews. Wow
