Reviews for Wrangler Riggs Workwear Men's Short Sleeve Henley

People say Wrangler Riggs Workwear is really similar to Carhartt.

5.0

Riggs has the most structure of Riggs, Carhartt and Dickies compared. The leather logo is nice.

Currently using three brands of Henley's: Dickies, Wrangler Riggs and Carhartt. Overall little difference in quality or fit. There are some differences. The RIGGS Wrangler brand is two button, and has a 1" square leather pocket logo. Off the three the fit is slightly tighter on the Riggs, slightly larger on the Carhartt. Of the fabric after some wash cycles, the Riggs is the smoothest, the Carhartt the roughest, it is a noticeable difference between the Riggs and the other two in smoothness. The other are comparable. Wife says the Carhartt looks good on me, and the Riggs looks the most "fitted". The Riggs does have the most "structure", looks classier. All are comparable in looks though. All appear to have similar build and stitch quality.

I'm buying more of these

I can vouch for the other reviewers that like this shirt. Quality construction, sturdy but not stiff fabric (like a Carhartt), and the collar has a touch of attitude that was exactly what I was hoping for. The small "R" on the pocket appears to be embossed on real leather, but it's not obtrusive. I feel one notch above casual when wearing this shirt. It ran about 1/2 size large on me before I washed it, then it became a "relaxed" fit (as advertized). Some folks might prefer ordering 1 size smaller and then "stretching" it after a wash. Other than that, there is nothing lacking about this shirt. BTW, the little hidden "utility loop" in the chest pocket is perfect for holding an ink pen in place...I'm guessing that was the idea to begin with.

Amazing shirt

The shirt fits a bit better than the Carhartt work Henleys. The length of the shirt isn’t as long as those shirts and fits a bit nicer. The included pen holder in the pocket is a nice touch. I always add this reference: I like to wear large t-shirts and medium buttondowns because I don’t like slim/tighter fitting clothes. From previous experience with work Henley’s I went a size smaller than a normal T-shirt or basically went with my button down shirt size and it fits perfectly. I’d say these shirts are on par with the carhartt work henleys.

Great alternative to Carhartt PLUS the size is true

Great alternative to Carhartt PLUS the size is true. Carhartt is hard to buy online as the sizes run all over the place.

Great work shirt. New favorite.

Replacing my Carhartt's after 30 years of buying Carhartt. Seems like their weight has been going down for many years. Have been buying 2XL single shirts from many different brands. Riggs seems more H.D. than all the others, including Carhartt. They feel a little tighter than I would like but I'll try different size combos an see what happens. MAKE THEM POLO STYLE PLEASE.

Doesn't fit like the picture. SIZE DOWN!

I am 5'9 180lbs usually wear large in basic fruit of the loom t-shirts. What I wasn't aware of is the need to SIZE DOWN! A medium is a large (Think Carhartt sizing) shirt is actually nicely constructed, honestly better than the carhartt henleys, and I own a few. Sizing was not clear, gifted to family. Hidden pen/tool strap was a nice touch. Navy is darkk

quality shirt

What can I say, its a work shirt. I like the Riggs fit and feel better than the Carhartts I used to wear. I originally found these at a local workwear store but they no longer carry them. Glad to find them here. I like the pencil/tool loop (which I have also used for glasses) My only complaint is that said loop is sometimes sewn tight or nearly closed. I had to do surgery to open one in order to get a pen in.

Every day wear

Like these shirts. Great for trades, craft type work and weekend projects. Comfortable, fit well, medium weight cotton with neck venting options. Hold their size and shape. Cut with room to move. Last about same as Carhartt. Prefer these over the other Mfgs. (like Carhartt) These are about the same quality but have a little tab inside the pocket. Keeps your glasses from falling out if you run one of the ear pieces through it.That tab has saved my glasses many times when bending over or crawling over things. Also works with a pen or pencil. Sometimes hard to find sizes in colors I like. Prices vary by season it seems. Have been wearing this style shirt for more than 15 yrs. (including Carhartt's and other makers). Would be nice to see these available in brushed 100% pima cotton !

Soft and very comfortable.

Softer than Carhartt. Arrived with one of the top buttons hanging by one thread but I’m resourceful. I’m 5’9” @220 lbs and the fit is perfect. Long enough without being too long. I wsh more colors were available. I’ll only purchase the colors that are 100% cotton. Read description closely if 100% cotton is important.
