this is a great watch...

i have had a casio for many years, but it was getting hard to read (my fault, not theirs) and i was looking for something with bigger numbers to replace it...this is it...great price; big, uncluttered dial; easy to set...the casio had to be removed from the wrist in order to reset...the buttons were SOOO hard to push that i dreaded having to reset it for DST...this one is a breeze...very intuitive...the buttons are so easy to push that it's a snap to reset it to the second...the price is right--less than 14$ as i remember...band is good--i just hope it lasts...says it's water resistant to 50M which is about 49M deeper than i ever intend to go...fabulous watch for the money...get one or two...people who rate it less than 5 stars are obviously impossible to please or expected something totally different...

WOW, great watch for the price 5 STARS, PROS and CONS

Ok, its the first day, so I will update my review if it has a problem in the first year. I lost my Casio, for 4 days, order this as I took an old Casio watch and had a battery installed, and the analog time did not keep up with the digital time. Spent $13 on a battery. So I ordered this one. Now I might wear it instead of my Casio that was lost for 4 days. Why? Well here are the pros and cons. PRO: it is super easy to read at any angle. the face is 35mm wide, my Casio is 28mm wide (not the case, the actual face) it keeps time (for 3 hours anyway) the backlight is a true backlight and it is amazing (hello Casio) THE BACKLIGHTING IS AMAZING, 1000% better than my Casio (but on the wrong side, see cons) IT COSTS $13, WOW IT LOOKS GOOD CON: it is not solar it does not sync with an atomic clock to activate the backlight it is on the left top side of the watch, my Casio is on the top right where it should be At $13 I will buy another if it dies, why pay to replace the battery? I don't like to throw things out, so if it looks good after a year or two I will pay the $15 to replace the battery. I hate landfills, and do NOT want to help fill them up :)

Bargain Watch

I got tired of buying $30-60 Timex or Casio creations and having them fail or get dim after 3-5 years. My last Timex Indiglow broke and failed to light up after 2 years. So, I figure if these things have become disposable, stop spending so much money on them. This watch is very legible and simple to use. It doesn't have all the gee-whiz features, but it has time and date right there and stopwatch/alarm or nice and basic. I haven't tried the alarm and the stopwatch split isn't intuitive, but for just keeping track of elapsed time for a task, it does just fine. I'm not running with it. Seems durable.

Darn-Goody-OK!

This watch replaces a Casio that was not up to leap year tracking. Im not sure yet if this 1 is either -- but that is pert near 4 years away now. I was surprised at how large the face is -- so it is kind of a hulk compared to most watches. The band is sturdy, & so is the buckle. My old Casio's band-&-buckle were so flimsy that it took special concentration to handle it. I have not used the timer -- likely never will. And I don't swim & try to avoid rainstorms -- so the water-proof aspect does not apply for me.

Truely a great deal

Im a casio guy but as ive gotten older im having trouble seeing liitle things so I started looking at different watch's. Im really glad I found this watch, its big enough for me to see it, the back light works great, its simple to adjust, its water resistant and has 3 settings. Time date day, stop watch and a alarm. Its perfect. Most important thing, it looks good and was around 20.00 shipped to my door. When this goes out I will definitely buy another.

Great watch

This Cackcitywatch is the best watch (at a reasonable price) of its type I ever bought...better than the casio and timex and all the others in the $19 to $40.00 ranger. All the regular functions with large face. It is easy to set all functions unlike casio and timex, etc.

Excellent value

If this watch lasts only six months, it will be well worth the price. The display is easy to read--important for me as I am visually impaired. The numbers are large and dark, and light up nicely in the dark. Also, compared with Casio watches, the time, date, and alarm settings are quite logical and straightforward. All in all, a fine watch.

A bargain of a lifetime

An incredible watch. I've had it 7 months and it has only gained 4 seconds. It is very lightweight and comfortable. The face is nice and plain very uncomplicated and so easy to read. I have an extensive watch collection but I swear I wear this watch more than any other. I also love the Casio g-shock's

Large, easy-to-read display.

Compared to my previous Armitron, Casio, and Timex sport watches (all of which I also liked), this one has the largest digits and letters in a no-nonsense digital display that is easy to read while biking or jogging. There are no small circular dials for day or month, just a 3-letter day abbreviation and a digital date. It is very simple to set date and time.
