Reviews for Timex Full-Size Ironman Endure 30 Shock Watch

People say Timex is really similar to Casio.

Great thowback to the OG Ironman, but Amazon's listing gets it undue negativity.

Amazon's listing is not very good with it's wording so this watch has gotten undue negative reviews. I've seen this model listed as both the Endure 30 and the Original 30 Shock, it has 1 alarm with 3 different modes (not 3 separate alarms), 200m WR, ISO shock resistance, (reverse) Indiglo with night mode, 2 time zones, 12/24hr time, 30 lap stopwatch, 24hr countdown timer (repeatable), and day/date (MM.DD or DD.MM). Its basically a slightly updated feature set compared to an Ironman 8-lap. This watch is great, it's got the look of the original Ironman 8-lap with modern guts. The only minus for me is it could be a little slimmer on the wrist, but I also didn't realize it was shock resistant when I bought it. For comparison, it is a few mm smaller in all dimensions than a G-Shock G2300/G2310/GW2310 series. The band is similar to G-Shocks in that it is formed/molded around the wrist but like the case it's still slimmer in the way it wears around the wrist. Not as slim as an F91W but not as massive as any G-Shock basically. The module has a better display with bigger numbers than the above mentioned Casios. With the exception of the lap memory, the G23## G-Shocks have more features, but the Endure 30 is much easier to use thanks to the display and larger buttons. If you want 3 alarms you need the very similar Classic 30. The main differences being the Classic has 3 separate alarms (not 1), occasion reminders and 3 time zones but losses the Ironman 8-lap look, the shock resistan... Read More

This watch is now my favorite watch. I was using a "Casio F91W-1 Classic Resin Strap Digital Sport Watch" and misplaced it, and couldn't find it for the life of me, so I started shopping. I was looking for a Timex Atlantis 100, because I've worn one of those at work for the past 20 years or so. They didn't have any with the black rubber and metal band, so I began a search for another watch. This one fit the bill, looked alright, and so I ordered it. I'm glad I did. The size of this watch is bigger than the Casio I was using (the Casio seemed very small for a men's watch), but not overly large like many of the watches on the market today. This has all the features I need. Date, time, stopwatch, countdown timer (the Casio did not have a countdown timer!), and alarm. The watch is the perfect size, the indiglo light is awesome, lighting up the numbers instead of just the face. Very satisfied with this watch. Every time I put it on when I get to work, I think to myself, "Man, I'm glad I got this watch!" and I even show it to my coworkers again!

Great Product. Easy to use.

This is the third running watch I've had and it's my first Timex. I've owned to Casio's before (one being a g-shock), but after finding my g-shock to bulky and cluttered, and loosing my other Casio I picked up from Walmart, I decided to look around to find a new durable running watch. I run cross country and track so going from a generic stopwatch to a 30-lap chrono watch has been sweet. The lap timer is easy to use and the display is big enough to take a glance and see my split and total time side by side. The recall feature works perfectly and you even have some room to adjust the settings to configure your lap display how you like it. My favorite thing about this Timex, is its ease of use. The only time I've had to look at a manual is when I first got the watch. The display updates as you go through the various modes to show you what the new buttons mean so there is never a question on how to set the time or recall your laps. This watch is extremely durable. It has already taken a few shots and I've swam with it on several times. The screen and body have held up nicely and I don't foresee any problems with them in the future. The strap is great also. I really like the notch that keeps the excess strap in place. The countdown timer and the alarm both work as expected. The timer has some different settings and is easy to set up. My only disappointment with the timer was that you can't set different intervals. Like if you want to run for five minutes and walk for two your... Read More

Practical Watch

Tall digits and good back light makes it easy to read,. Size of the watch is neither too large nor too small. Large buttons makes it easy to operate and 200 meters of water resistance puts the mind at ease. Like the colors, not too flashy. Tried many Casio models before settling on a Timex. American made adds to the charm.

Good watch for #troopers to #getafterit

I just started running and needed a watch to track lap times. This does the trick. Good watch for #gettingafterit Yes, I'll admit, I was inspired by Jocko. I used to wear the Ironman Triathlon that he wears but, sadly, it died. After buying some Casio watches that utterly failed on me, I decided to go back to what was tried, tested and proven to work. #GETSOME

Sturdy Watch that looks good and does what it should

I bought this watch to add multi-lap functionality to my workouts because my similar Casio watch could not keep up. I have not been disappointed with this watch in the least. It keeps accurate time, is equipped with a dual-time feature, has a chronograph, countdown timer, and an alarm function. My everyday watch had been a Luminox, but the timing features this watch offers, coupled with its "big, but not too big" size have moved this watch to the top of the rotation. The EL function at night is nice as well, lighting the numbers on the watch face rather than the entire background. It doesn't have the additional unnecessary timing features that some Casio watches have (my opinion), so if you want a comfortable watch that has all the essential timing features in a sturdy package, at a fraction of the cost of its competitors, look no further.

Better watch for the money than Casio

Had a Casio g-shock and thought it was pretty good but it quit on me after about a year. I bought the Timex Ironman and like it a lot better. It is easier to see, operates more simply, is a little smaller overall size but the display has bigger numbers and is clearer than the Casio. Plus it doesn't have extra stuff on the dials that you don't need. Just a better design of what you need plus it's a little cheaper

Excellent sports watch. Actually the best!!!

I have been wearing ironman watches since they 1st were put on the market. Hands down, the absolute best sports watch made. I've tried casio's in the past and ended up giving them away. they do not come close to the quality, comfort, lighting. Highly recommend this watch

Second Timex

I have had a Timex watch previously with a Velcro band, but it was lost at the river. I just got this watch, and let me tell you, I am satisfied. The shipping was right on, and the customer support was very helpful handling previous items. The watch is perfect in size and is very comfortable. One thing that I was dissatisfied with is that the start/split button is smaller than thought, thanks to the pictures. To be honest, you need to go to Timex's website to see the actual picture of the watch. It is very good looking and is exactly what I was looking for. I am starting to collect watches, and I will continue to buy Timex products, until Casio comes with a more comfortable watch. If I wanted a G-shock I would have gotten on, but this looked like a better buy. It is not for style, it is for telling the time and being comfortable, end of story.

Good and Cheap Shock Resistant watch

Bought this watch as the price looks attractive. It was almost half the price of a normal Casio G-shock watch. I got a big wraist so when I wear it, it kind of look small to me. But is ok. I use it to run and swim. So far still working good!!!! How will last long.
