Great simple cleanser - Very gentle - Will not strip your skin of moisture - Not good for heavy make up alone

Just a simple great gentle cleanser. Fragrance-free. Has the same texture as the Cetaphil cleanser and the Cerave hydrating cleanser. Probably not a good cleanser for make up, unless you plan on double cleansing (with either oil or wipes). I have oily combination skin and it's not sensitive at all, but I like using gentle cleansers like these so that my moisture isn't stripped off of my face. This cleanser will be great for those with sensitive skin or compromised barriers. One thing to note is that it does have cetearyl alcohol. If you'd had trouble with this ingredient in the past, it's worth nothing. However, it's never affected my skin. Some others may have sensitivities to it however.

Incredible!

the perfect gentle cleanser for the most sensitive skin. I have atopic dermatitis and my skin hates everything. I came to this because cerave moisturizers and vanicream cleanser gave me the worst atopic dermatitis/rosecea flare up...and this helped clear it up. Please never stop making it!!!!

Gentle Cleanser

Love this mild cleanser. Very similar to Cerave cleaner. This is not a foaming cleaner, but does the job well. I remove my makeup at night using an oil cleanser and this in the morning. Never leaves my face dry or tight feeling. Will continue to purchase. Skin Type: late thirties; dry/combination

REALLY GOOD CLEANSER

I really love this face cleanser! Originally I was going to by the Cetaphil or CeraVe daily facial cleaners but upon seeing that both contain parabens and other ingredients that are not suitable for the skin. That's when I found this one by neutrogena. The reason why I didn't give it 5 starts is because it doesnt feel moisturized enough which is why I apply a moisturizer after using it. I definitely will reorder this.

Good but not great

It's not bad, but as far as gentle non-irritating cleansers are concerned, I prefer the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (same Cetaphil-like texture etc). Neither really takes off makeup (you'll need a separate makeup remover to do that), and the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser is fairly gentle compared to other drugstore brands, but I'm a regular Retin-A user and there was definitely a few times where my skin was so sensitive that even the Neutrogena irritated it but the CeraVe did not.

It took a while but I'm glad I've finally found my low pH non-foaming cleanser.

It took a while but I'm glad I've finally found my low pH non-foaming cleanser. I tried cerave hydrating cleanser and found it really drying. I was using Purity one-step and really liked it but didn't feel like it was economical. I think this cleanser is great because it cleans without drying for my AM routine and is a great 2nd step cleanser for my PM routine.
