Much better than Creed
As my research indicated, Mont Blanc has a better fragrance and last longer than Creed. I'm VERY satisfied with Mont Blanc and now would not consider paying $300 plus for ANY cologne. Also, I only paid $34 for the same bottle of Mont Blanc.

Great Fragrance, However, Not a Replacement For Original Santal
I would like to speak about the comparison between Mont Blanc Individuel and Original Santal. I am a huge fan of Original Santal. It's just a wonderful fragrance. I like Mont Blanc Individuel as well! However, these are two separate fragrances, and I would not recommend Mont Blanc Individuel as a "replacement" for Original Santal at all. Likewise, Mont Blanc Individuel also serves its purpose. The opening of Mont Blanc Individuel smells exactly like Original Santal after Original Santal has dried down for about 3 minutes. There's no doubt about it. Sure, the Creed smells more fresh and natural, but unless you are VERY familiar with Original Santal, you would not be able to tell the difference. This smell stays similar to Original Santal for about an hour. Then things start to change. Mont Blanc Individuel changes drastically from smelling like Original Santal to smelling like laundry fresh out of the dryer. Is that bad? Absolutely not! But Original Santal has an intoxicating smell that has more to it than the "dryer sheet" smell. Individuel, after about an hour, is pure dryer sheets. Original Santal has more spice. I would even say that after three hours of wearing Mont Blanc Individuel, you can't even compare the two fragrances. If I didn't smell Individuel's opening, I wouldn't have even thought the two fragrances were even remotely similar. Well deserved reputation
If you search around online for inexpensive, versatile fragrances, you're sure to come across Mont Blanc Individuel. When describing the scent, every review compares it to Creed' s Original Santal - which is around $250 for a bottle this size. I've never smelled Creed' s fragrance, so I took a leap of faith and bought this without having an idea of what to expect. I typically ware fresh aquatic type scents. So to me this was a little bit more "perfumey" then what I'm used to, but that's not a bad thing. Once it settles into the dry down, it's kind of a similar smell to dryer sheets - fresh, clean, bright, airy, with some hints of floral. That may sound a little weird, but it's really inviting and pleasant. It still manages to be masculine, modern, and sophisticated. It lasts close to 8 hours for me, and has moderate projection. So this performs really well. Since its very fresh and clean, this can really be used for any occasion, or season. Because of its sophisticated feel, this could even work for formal occasions. Wherever you ware it, you're bound to get a ton of compliments.

Oh my God or whoever you believe in. Be prepared to be shocked.
I have twenty five fragrances and this Mont Blanc Individuel is my favorite. I will tell fragrance lovers when you have such a collection, calling one your favorite is a bold statement but there it is. I suggest you go thru amazon and the shipped and packaged or suggested by them at the least. I just like packaged and shipped by amazon because never a problem. You know don't fix it if it's not broke kind of thing. I hope I am not putting anyone off other vendors, because amazon will make it right. OK I feel like this Mont Blanc is a three hunderd dollar smelling fragrance. I have heard it compared to creed Santal original. Creed is a very high end house but prices there can lead some to look elsewhere. Please, look for this fragrance on amazon and be ready to take your lady out. I think then again she may not want to go out when she smells this on you. PS all sexes will enjoy this.

Awesome
I didn't know what to expect when I bought this other than the reviews and comments from basenotes. They say it smells just like Creed's Original Santal. If that's true then Creed has one hell of a scent. Plus, Mont Blanc Individuel came out two years earlier and the same guy did both fragrances. Get this you certainly won't regret it.

Made before Creed Santal. Smells exactly the same. Creed is over-priced This cologne is awesome. A compliment getter. Awesome and will keep a bottle in my cologne arsenal.

Great price. Honestly, i could not tell the difference between Creed Santel vs. Indviduel besides the price... LOL Indviduel seems a bit sweeter than Santel.

A great fragrance at a bargain price
I have owned both and can attest that this smells virtually identical to Creed Original Santal, which is much more expensive. It is mainly a cool weather scent...not recommended for summer as it doesn't do so well on sweaty days. Lots of compliments.
