Reviews for KOSE SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing Oil 230ml

People say Kose is really similar to Dhc.

THE BEST BEST BEST

I struggled to find an oil cleanser I like after a favorite of mine was discontinued. I tried a few more and either they had fragrance, burned my eyes, didn't remove my makeup or feel good after rinsing. Last one was DHC and it was just okay. Tried this on a while and am delighted. I like this 10x more than any of the other cleansers and it is a fraction of the cost. Low odor, easy on eyes, removes all but the most stubborn waterproof eye makeup and leaves my skin feeling so soft. No skin reactions or breakouts and I've been using for about a week.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION

I've used DHC Deep Cleansing Oil for well over 10 years. And I love it. I thought I'd give this Speedy Cleansing Oil a try because of the good reviews and price point. IT IS FANTASTIC! I don't even need to double cleanse. This gently removes ALL of my makeup--eye makeup included. I use a wet, soft baby washcloth to gently wipe the product off after I massaged it into my skin. Then rinse. I use a moisturizing toner pad afterwards and there is NO trace of residual makeup. I'll definitely buy this again!!

Effective and affordable

LOVE! I have been a faithful user of DHC cleansing oil for over five years, but I may have found its match or even better. I have the hardest time with removing my waterproof mascara even with the DHC product. I also use the most waterproof mascara on earth (Kiss Me Heroine), but this product took it off completely. This will be my cleanser going forward. I'm also thrilled that this costs a fraction of what my other oil cleanser costs...WIN!

This works super well for my oily skin

This works super well for my oily skin, leaving it clean and soft, but not tight or dry. An awesome thing about this cleansing oil is that it can be used alone. Unlike the oil cleansers I've tried from The Face Shop and DHC, this washes off really well and doesn't even require a second foam cleanser. I still use a second foam cleanser, and for those of you who don't mind extending your routine, I'd still recommend it. However, this is still definitely okay to use alone. It removes sunscreen and makeup really well. I spend about a minute removing my makeup, whereas I used to spend a good ten minutes with makeup wipes. Mineral oil is generally considered a safe bet when picking your first oil cleanser, so I'd recommend this one, as my skin did not have any negative reaction at all from it. I'm halfway through bottle number two and have no intentions of switching!

Best oil cleanser on the market

This was my first asian beauty purchase and I was so amazed at its performance that I bought other highly recommended oil cleansers (Hada Lobo, DHC, Banila) expecting them to live up to the hype as well. Long story short, they didn't. This is the one I've since repurchased multiple times and will continue to buy. It's a very thin, liquid consistency that melts make up almost instantly and doesn't tug on your skin at all. The scent is very minimal and it rinses off easily leaving your skin clean, but not stripped.

Great bang for buck oil cleanser!

What a great bargain find! I use oil cleansers daily to take off all my makeup, including stubborn waterproof mascara. I have tried everything from the exorbitant Shu Uemura, cult classic DHC, etc. KOSE's Softy Mo (the name always makes me laugh) line is a great find. It does a great job cleaning everything off. It is definitely "speedy" as the formula emulsifies and rinses cleanly off very easily. I have used some cleansing oils on the greasier side that take a couple of times to rinse it completely off.

Great make up remover at a reasonable price

This make up remover oil removes even the toughest waterproof mascara. No panda eyes from smudged make up remaining around the eyes. I use this right before I get into the shower. I start the shower, rub the make up remover *with dry hands* all over my face outside of the shower, and then hop in to wash it all off. No need for additional make up remover products. My all time favorite make up remover oil is DHC, but it's super pricey. This is a great make up remover at a reasonable price.

One of the best

I was using the DHC cleansing oil and wanted to opt for something cheaper and glad I did. I prefer the consistency of the Kose one much better. I also love that it does not fragrance but it also just works really at breaking away buildup makeup and sebum from throughout the day. I don’t wear makeup often but I apply sunscreen religiously, so double cleansing is a must.

I only use this oil cleanser

This is my holy grail, I have used DHC and Banila Co. but the price of this is so much lower and does everything those two other products do. It has an emulsifier so I just rinse it off with water, most days I don’t even double cleansing because this feels amazing and leaves my skin feeling clean but hydrated. On days I use cosrx Good Morning Cleanser with this, my skin feels tighter. So I just this alone now.

Better & cheaper than DHC - And fast shipping!

This is my holy grail cleansing oil. I always use this product to remove makeup (I always follow with double cleanse, using a gentle cream cleanser to make sure all oil/makeup/dirt is removed!) I used to use the DHC oil, but it is so expensive. This is a cheaper and better alternative. I use 2-3 pumps and (with dry hands and face) massage onto skin. It is easily removed with water and does not irritate eyes or leave an oily residue. I prefer to order the product from this vendor, as shipping was fast. I believe it took about 3-4 days. When I ordered directly from Softymo (based in Japan), shipping took about 6 weeks.
