I have mature skin (I'm in my 50's) and have taken good care but still have some pore issues and lines. I highly recommend this Sephora Perfection Mist - it leaves a fairly matte finish, which I'm not fond of, especially on more mature skin. BUT it's also a bit of a satin finish, so it's not settling into lines and pores. It really does provide a fairly flawless/airbrused finish and looks really nice, and lasts many hours (maybe 8 - 10....) It keeps my t-zone oil at bay. I've been using a variety of primers first (after my DIY Vit C serum + then moisturizers). Using the ELF primer works really well with this foundation! So I don't see a need to have a high-end, pricey primer for this. BTW I also have the Porefessional primer and I've used that, and the ELF primers. I see absolutely NO difference, so ELF it is! This foundation also DOES minimize the look of pores! So, yep, it's a 5-star product. It's less than 1/2 the price of Dior and it offers a little bit more product as well. I love the Real Techniques sponge (similar to Beauty Blender - I've used both - but Real Techniques is AS GOOD AS Beauty Blender and much less expensive. I just find R.T. difficult to find so I buy it online - on RT website). I've never found it in stock at my local Ulta... As a side note, I've also purchased the really really cheap sponge applicators - you get about 4 of them for something like $5.00 - NOT a good sponge. Way too firm. I find them useless.
