Spot-on fit and very good quality for the price
I've been searching for the last year or so for good shorts with either velcro or buttons on the back pockets. I like carrying my big wad of cash in my back pocket so I want to make sure the roll of 20s don't fall out when I sit down somewhere. I've been buying Docker brand shorts for many years, but they no longer make their dress shorts with secure back pockets. This being Arizona where most of the year it's luke warm to hot weather you really need a bunch of shorts to wear near year-round. So I thought I'd try these Amazon branded ones, and bought a size 32 with a 9" inseam in the cheapest color they had just so I could try them out (color teal for around $13). This way if I didn't like them even after breaking them in and washing them it wouldn't be a great financial loss. Packaging is easy and generic: inside a simple plastic bag and a small tag. No stickers, nothing else to have to remove. Just take out of the bag and remove the simple, generic, barcode tag. I noticed that the stitching was solid with sturdy thread, unlike a lot of other brands that cost twice as much and yet seem to scrimp on the thread. These feel very well made. The buttons are solidly stitched on as well and should last a long time without falling out. Zipper runs up and down very well also. When I first put them on I thought the inseam might not be the short 9" that I prefer because it felt like it was a tad too long and was rubbing the back of my thighs, which really annoys me, hence my desire... Good alternative
I usually purchase Dockers or Land's End shorts. However, this at a much more reasonable price fits the bill. It's decent wrinkle free but the shorts I bought was not the stretch type. I like the color too.

Excellent shorts at an exceptional price
For many years, I usually bought Dockers or Eddie Bauer shorts. A few years ago, I decided to try Amazon's clothes. I've found that their quality is excellent and prices very low. These Amazon Essential shorts are no exception. I'll be buying them again!

Comfy fit and best price for shorts
Tried on Dockers equivalents and they did not fit as nice . I am short with thick legs and these shorts were comfier and less cost than dockers ones.

Great shorts
These are perfect for summer. Great length, not too long and not too short. They are very well made. My husband usually wears a 32 and we got those first, were a little small. Returned and ordered a 33. These seem like they will last multiple summers, similar to dockers.

Great shorts! Comparable to my Dockers shorts!
Wow! These shorts were great right out of the box. They seem almost as well tailored as my more-expensive Dockers shorts. Nice!

We bought both these Amazon Essentials and Dockers to compare side-by-side. They are virtually identical except the Amazon version does not have the cell phone pocket. But they are less expensive. Great buy!!

A perfect all around khaki short
i had never purchased Amazon brand clothing before, but these are a nice as the dockers i would normally wear. You could wear these anywhere.

Not only Essential, they are Perfect!
I would buy 50 pair of these babies. Fit well, well made, easy to care for and pretty wrinkle resistant. Zipper stays zipped. Top button doesn’t come unsewn. Many colors, Nice prints and woven patterns. Deep enough pockets and belt loops if you want or need. Sorry Dockers! You’ve met your match.
