Can I say "OH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS HAT"! Perfect fit for my small frame (I got the small size 22" circumference above brow) in brown...it is comfortable and protects my beautiful skin from the sun. I am small frame and the depth and brim size is not overpowering on me. The brown looks great with my blonde hair - so I look great and feel good working in my flower bed or riding my horse on a trail ride! It travels well, repels rain, is very adjustable, and is not heavy (well, it will add weight if you get caught in a rainstorm). It says it is for a Man, but girlfriend - get this for yourself! The female styled hats can be a little silly for women who need a true outdoors hat. It is reasonably priced! Get one for yourself and one for you favorite BFF!

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He usually wears a flexfit ball cap but was wanting a bush/field hat for when we go camping or hiking that provided a bit more coverage for head/ears because he burns fairly easily. It is a nice hat out of the box.Packaging was good. A bit of personal preference shaping is advised but not really required. It is a treated waxed cotton twill and it appears to be of good quality construction and I think a light/moderate rain would repel easily and it rains often here in the valley in Oregon! My husband has a large head-I refer to it as a small planetoid and measures 23 inches exactly and I usually get him XL caps. I had originally ordered him the XL and it was really quite roomy-too much infact, and we had to return it for a large which fits perfectly. He's happy now.

Dorfman Pacific Weathered Hat
The first hat I ordered was an XL and was way too large so I exchanged it for a Large. The folks at Amazon are excellent to deal with, very friendly, and very customer satisfaction oriented, so exchanging was an easy process. I normally wear a 7 1/2 - 7 5/8 depending on the mfr. This Dorfman Pacific model tends to run larger than most, so keep that in mind when ordering. I get a lot of compliments on the hat. It's stylish and functional in different kinds of weather, sunny, rainy, hot or cold. It can be shaped to suit your individual taste because the brim has a wire sewn inside the seam. All in all a nice hat and a good purchase.

Fits 23 inch head perfectly and is an excellent hat. You can put away the chin strap over the brim and it still looks good.
I have one of the Dorfman Pacific hats in this style already, but I have always been careful of crushing it up too much for travel because I don't want to ruin it as it is a favorite hat of mine. I have found others just like it that were too tight on my head to replace it, but I figured I would give this a go and hope it fit. This hat as shipped by Amazon fits me a little bit loser than my other Dorfman Pacific in this style, but it is still a good fit for me with a 23 inch (maybe a bit more) head/hat size. The wire in the brim allows you to shape it within reason, and for the hat of this same style I have had for several years it has kept in one piece. I worried at first the wire might break, but it has not. This hat is the same as that one, and I would expect it will last as long. You can fold down the head portion of the hat and have it pop back into shape, but I have not folded it and then packed it down in a suitcase/backpack yet. I wanted this second hat in the same style so that I can take that risk. It is reasonably water proof and quite water repellant, I have not had to refresh the water repellancy on my original hat, but I will do that if it ever loses the water resistance. Finally, the leather chin strap (removable) is easy to put up on top of the hat without making it look bad, so you never really need to remove it. a really nice hat for the price
I have been very pleased with the dorfman pacific hat. It is nicely made and comfortable. Like others have said at does run a bit large, i normally wear a xxl hat by most other makers. The mc127 hat is sized xl and a perfect fit. Quality is quite good and the hat gets quite a few compliments and inquiries as how they can get one. I hope this hat holds up well as the style and.construction look great.

Beautiful Hat but Oversized
I've just received my Dorfman Pacific Hat and it is beautiful. It is well made of good heavy material and appears that it will last for many years as a great all-weather hat. Unfortunately, the 'XL' size (that according to the Size Chart should range from a 7-1/2 (23-1/2") to a 7-3/4 (24-1/4") and fit my 23-1/2" head) is MUCH larger than a '7-3/4' Boonie (work hat) and an 'XL' Fedora (dress hat) that both comfortably fit me. I am considering returning/exchanging this for the 'L' size but afraid that 'that' may be too small forcing another swap (you can wear a hat that's a little too big, but a hat that's a little too small is useless)! I am also disappointed that, though Dorfman Pacific appears to be a Texas Company, this hat was NOT made in the USA (which I would have gladly paid a little more for). Still... Whether or not I try swapping sizes, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL HAT!!!

Dorfman Pacific men's hat
I like this hat very much and have received many compliments but as other reviewers have stated the size seems to run very large. My head measurement fell in the bottom range for a size large so I ordered the medium. The medium was still too large. I was able to use the foam strips provided in addition to a couple of others that I had to make the hat fit. Other than size the hat is nice.

Dorfman Pacific Hat
Awesome hat!! I've worn hats all my life and like a brim to shelter my face and neck from the weather. This is a perfect fit for me. Order a size smaller than you think you should because these hats are sized larger that expected. I read reviews and saw that this was the case so ordered a size smaller...good thing I did!! Would recommend this hat!!!

An original design
The Dorfman Pacific Men's Hat was just as promised. It is a rugged style that I hope will last many years. It does appear to be durable and made very well with very high quality materials. It appears to be as promised.
