People say Elf is really similar to Elf.

Helps makeup look beautiful

This product is a good value for money, is unscented, and works well. It gives some moisture while helping to minimize pores. Compared to a very high end and similar product, this product performs similarly and is cost effective. I can definitely recommend this product. And ELF doesn't test on animals. :)

Great product, not for noticeable or deep pores/scars

So I still use it in my daily regimen because it really does feel like it’s moisturizing. And I’ve had less breakouts since using it. It’s light feeling once you let it absorb on your skin and you don’t feel cakey or pasted on. It’s unnoticeable whether you use ONLY this and no make up on top while still hiding your pores and redness or whether you put makeup on. My only complaint which isn’t really the suppliers fault is a lot of people claiming it to help pock marks and scars as well. (Mind you mine are not very large, deep, or that noticeable) but I’m self conscious of them and feel like they are more noticeable with foundation on. I’d hoped this would help, as with all the “elf hacks” videos from other users claiming it vanishes these scars and dips(pock marks), and also an old piercing scar(that I have). it sadly does not. I’m only noting this for other potential buyers :) If you use too much of this product it leaves a weird streaky ugliness under the foundation you have to completely remove all makeup and product off your face and use way less. So use sparingly and slowly add more. Also to cover pores apply with fingers in a circular motion. The sponges and brushes absorb all product and leave streaky residue and do not fill pores. So use clean fingers. Overall it’s a great product and does what it claims too and helps with pores. Not heavy/ cakey, greasy or gross and no unpleasant smell. I love the fact that I’ve had next to NO breakouts using this as well.

This product is amazing!!!!

I used this product for the first time and it was amazing how much different my makeup looked. I will use the Elf Putty for as long as it’s made. It’s well worth it.

I like this primer better than the $50 ones I've bought

Elf actually makes a really good primer imo. I've tried so many different brands, including many pricey ones. They're good but I find I keep coming back to this inexpensive brand. Elf has other primer formulas which are really good but I like the primer putty. This particular one is nice and moisturizing if you've got dry skin(not sure how it performs with oily skin). And the putty gives a nice base to start with but still goes on sheer

Amazing!

Hands down, the best primer I’ve ever used. I’ve always used high end cosmetics and skin care. My go to for primer was Benefit Porefessional. My 24 yo daughter swore buy the elf putty primer and I thought, what the heck, I’ll try it. At first I thought it was not going to work because it’s really packed in and not much came off on my finger when it rubbed it. She showed me to scrape back a little w my fingernail and it became super creamy. I applied it, did my regular makeup routine, and when I was finished I honestly couldn’t believe the result. I had a beautiful glow that I swear took five years off my age!!! (61). I’m now exploring more elf products and found an eyeliner that’s every bit as good as the Bobbi Brown I was using. So happy.

Poreless Putty perfects better than most

Hesitantly tried this ELF Poreless Putty because I do have sensitive, acne-prone, over-40 skin. I've been looking for something to help smooth out my pores around my T-zone, especially my nose, so that other products don't sink in and make me spotted. ELF Poreless Putty has worked better than far more expensive options so far! It doesn't take much. You do have to rub it in thoroughly with fingers and let it dry down before adding products over the top. Instructions say to wait 30 seconds, but it takes more like 1 min for me. It has been playing well with my moisturizers and serums underneath, as well as various make up on top. Drawback is that you do have stick your fingers in the pot unless you use a scoop, it is silicone based, and if you use too much it can sort of have a smeary effect. So, play with it, remembering less is more. Hasn't bothered my skin, and has helped mask those pesky pores. Not sure how long lasting it would be in the full sunshine all day though.

Great Primer

I have used the Luminous, Matte and Poreless Primer by Elf and the last is my favorite. It definitely blurs my pores and actually using this primer I use much less foundation, There's no color after it goes on. If I find that my skin is left looking dull. I use a brightener over it.

My foundation is going to last 4 times as long.

I've been reading around about different primers for a while now - wanting to buy one so I could have a base under my foundation and reduce the super visible pores I had on around my nose area. For all the pricey primers out there the most common consensus was that ELF poreless putty gave you a lot of bang for your buck. I was pretty spot on in my estimation of the size of the product and thought, "Man, this isn't super huge I'm going to use it up quickly!" WRONG. I have to put on more of this than I would have expected, my last primer was from "Y" and while very pricey, was thin and I think formulated more for the 20s crowd and for more oily skin. It never touched hiding pores. That said, even though I've worn it all week at the amount I desired, it almost looks like I haven't used any at all in the container, I've seen several application approaches but found I like my sponge applicator best. Another bonus, a good primer means you need much less foundation to do the same job - much like priming a wall before painting. It is so much better to spend $8 on a product that will make your $60 foundation wear longer and better with a lighter application. I have Scandinavian skin - have used face lotions since I was late teens while my friends were trying to get rid of oil. This stuff felt moisturizing on top of my daily moisturizer, had no scent and my skin seemed to like it. A+ results for $8. It's worth a try. I figured when beauty vloggers en masse will still default back to so... Read More
