Obsessed!

This is definitely my new favorite foundation. It is super light weight, full coverage, and does not feel like it is clogging your pores. I have occasional acne which has been made worse by other foundations but this one is perfect. I love The Ordinary and this product exceeded my expectations. Also, can't beat the price.

My new favorite serum foundation

This is yet another one of The Ordinary's hero products. For a few years now I've been using their skin care products for my day and night time routines. They work, they are sustainable in terms of price and frequency of having to replenish/repurchase and the packaging is beautiful. This foundation is no exception. The price point is incredible (There are drugstore brands that are twice the cost). The pump dispenses just the right amount. Shake well, apply product on the back of your hand, use your favorite beauty sponge and enjoy the results. It's light coverage so for all of us who love tinted moisturizers or just a hint of color, this is perfect. The first time I wore this, I had the following products underneath - HA, Vitamin C serum and my sunscreen. I never use setting powder and rarely use a setting spray on top of makeup. Since it was my first time wearing this, I did not apply anything else on top. It lasted for hours, stayed put while I ran errands and looked even under my eyes (which is such a tricky area for me when it comes to concealer or foundation) until the end of the day. Definitely worth a try. And with some Ulta stores having these in store, it was awesome to be able to sample a few shades before buying what I loved. So thank you Ulta

Amazinggg

Yes this is runny, the best way to apply is with a brush to stipple on then lightly go over with a lightly damp sponge. Gives me pretty good coverage that way. Also the perfect combo for this foundation is with wet n wild impossible primer, beauty bakerie powder on top and makeup revolution sport setting spray! Lasts all day.

Still can't believe this foundation is under $10

I'm in my mid-40s, and began shifting away from tinted moisturizer a few years back because I needed more coverage. Full-coverage foundation won't work (usually too cake-y for me). This foundation is perfect for what I need: medium coverage, easy to apply, and layers well. Use a wet beauty blender and tap it on. If I use setting spray it lasts 8+ hours for me. I can't believe it's under $10. The consistency is like water, which I love. It actually reminds me of Clinique's "Pore Minimizer" foundation from back in the 90's which had a very watery feel. Even though my skin is drier these days, it has the same great effect.

I'm In Love !!!

I am blown away by how good this serum foundation is! At 70 years young I have tried everything and have used Lancome Tient Idole and Huda's #Faux Filter when I wear a full face of makeup for years. This is definitely comparable and the price point is amazing. A little bit goes a long way, I just dab on a few dots with my fingers and blend for full coverage, which works even better than my Marc Jacobs brush. No cakiness or creasing on my normal to dry skin and plays well with my serum, hyaluronic acid, moisturizer and The Ordinary primer. I add a touch of setting powder and I'm good for hours. I also use Urban Decay's setting spray, the perfect last touch. Very impressed, I don't even need concealer but now will try The Ordinary's new one. I should mention I rarely wear foundation but am tempted to wear this every day, it's that good. Maybe not for oily skin but it dries down to a velvet finish. Excellent product, fantastic buy!

I love this foundation

Serum, lotion, sunscreen, then foundation. I use a damp beauty blender, not too wet, because it has good slip to the formula. Just blend lightly and it adhears beautifully. I went from pricey to perfect price. So glad I tried this!

Great for mixing in with moisturizer

I'm not someone who wears a lot of makeup and I don't like wearing full coverage foundations because they don't look like "me" to me (not helped by my lack of skill lol). At first I wasn't sure about this stuff and didn't use it a whole lot because it was slightly dry feeling and I tend to have dry skin anyway so it didn't feel super comfortable to me. I added it to my moisturizer one day on a whim after not having used it for a long time and its my favorite now. Because my only real concern is covering redness/evening skintone, I love the super sheer and dewy coverage it gives me, and I like it way more than a tinted moisturizer because I can put it in whatever moisturizer I feel like wearing that day instead of adding an extra layer. I know you could technically do that with any foundation, but I think how thin the foundation is to start with makes it work really well to make custom tinted moisturizers. I also find it doesn't oxidize like certain other foundations I've used.

Love this! My Zoom WFH makeup

I really love this! It's thin as water, feels like nothing but has great pigment and coverage and a satin finish so you still have some natural glow. This gives me that 'my skin but better' look by covering my redness and warming up my skin a touch. Similar to the NYX drops but those were too oily for me. Full transparency, this does not have staying power. Serum is the perfect description and it can move around a bit after several hours (would not be a good foundation for face masks.) This is my go to foundation during the week to look put together on Zoom calls. It takes no time to apply and I apply with a brush. If I have a longer day, I will super lightly dust a finishing or setting powder on my t zone and it will stay on with minimal movement. Overall you need to love it for what it is and don't expect it to be a long wear, stay all day foundation.

Good coverage for a serum

I was pleasantly surprised by how much redness and pigmentation this covered. It looks extremely natural when on and not like I'm wearing makeup, shade is an awesome match. I have dry skin and foundations, creams etc cling to any texture. This looks awesome and feels hydrating, but dries slightly dewy leaning matte. I will absolutely be repurchasing when I finish the bottle. I like the pump as well, much cleaner and hygenic. I let the first layer sit for a few minutes and applied a 2nd layer to see if it's buildable at all. It is, and it still looks like skin.

Great shade matching and texture!

I've been so impressed by the colour matching on this foundation - I actually haven't needed to mix with any other shades (I have fair combination skin and opted for 1.1P in both the Serum and Coverage foundations in case I needed to cover any breakouts). The formula is really lightweight and easy to blend, and a little goes a long way so I've actually found myself only applying a few dots where I need and then blending outwards from the centre of my face. This foundation sits well over sunscreen or a moisturiser and lasts longer than many of the more expensive foundations I've tried in the past. Great value!

better than your own skin!

shake, pump and apply. this foundation i think is better for coverage than the "coverage" by ordinary and i love that i don't worry about my foundation transferring or wearing off throughout the day. flawless finish, buildable but a little goes along way. i use a brush to apply my foundation and it goes on so smooth. both coverage and serum foundation are the first i grab for especially if i'm going on trips and everyday use. the pump is convenient and it locks so i never worry about the cap falling off or making a mess like previous foundations i have used.

Totally worth it

Super natural and easily blends to the skin. It's totally buildable without leaving the face cakey. I notice my foundation has usually shifted by the end of the day but I'm typically fine while partying

Will be buying this again!

Blends into the skin very nicely, I really liked how this made my skin look. Coverage is light-medium but it is buildable. The only reason I would agree this is a light coverage foundation is by how it doesn't cover dark spots or blemishes very well, but again it's builable.

Where have you been all my life!?

I've been on the hunt for quite sometime for a light textured foundation to even out my skin tone. I've tried nearly every tinted moisturizer, Bb and Cc cream I can get my hands on, they all felt very thick and foundation-y. This product is perfect, not to mention the price is amazing. It provides a sheer coverage.. just enough to even out skin tone and gives my powder bronzers and blush something to stick to. It comes out of bottle very watery and blends easily with fingers or a beauty blender. It melts into the skin to give a super natural finish.

Awesome For The Price

Not sure what I was expecting but this stuff was awesome for the price. I had a hard time choosing my shade so I just bought 2 of them because they were so inexpensive. One was perfect for me. It went on really well with a beauty blender, had very good coverage and lasted all day. I'm sold.

Outstanding

After my old foundation bottle broke open and was ruined, I went to Ulta in a panic needing new foundation for my head shots the next day. I asked the consultant what the cheapest but good concealer option would be and she lead me to The Ordinary aisle. She matched my skin perfectly just by looking at my skin, and I am so happy with this product. It's been a while since I went to a makeup store and properly had my skin matched and I can't believe I found such a reasonably priced product. It is so LIGHT on my skin. I didn't know it was possible, it blends so well and since it's not super heavy and intense, I can just put it on the parts of my skin that need it. I don't feel the need to coat my entire face in a layer of foundation. TRY THIS PRODUCT!

Love the light coverage!

I've had great results with The Ordinary skincare products, so I was curious and excited when I saw the new line of cosmetics. I purchased both the serum foundation and the full coverage foundation to compare the products. With such an affordable price point, it cost less for both products than what I would normally pay for one decent drugstore brand foundation. I did a side by side half face of each, and tbh... they performed pretty much the same. i could not tell much difference in coversge or feel. The only small difference was the serum is more dewey while the "coverage" is a bit more matte. The Serum: This product is very thin and watery, but provides surprisingly even and good light-medium coverage. It goes on so smoothly and just melts into my skin, and my skin feels amazingly soft, smooth, and velvety with it on. I was actually surprised at the coverage I got. It is somewhat buildable, bit it feels more like it absorbs into the skin than sits on top of it, if you know what I mean I am 44 yrs old, and despite taking meticulous care of my skin, I've found it hard to get good coverage without a cakey look or a moisturizing effect that isn't greasy or slips under my makeup. This is like a miracle product. I tend to sacrifice coverage for lighter foundation that won't highlight texture or fine lines. With this product, I feel I get the best of both. It makes my skin look even and glowy, and feel incredibly smooth and soft. At less than $7 a bottle, I can't believe ... Read More

Amazing

This is by far my favourite foundation. Besides the unbeatable price, this foundation offers a beautiful "your face but better" look. It is lightweight and easy to blend. I personally use it to spot conceal and to brighten/even out my under-eye area. It does not get gross after a full day of wear, nor does it feel heavy on the face whatsoever. My new go-to. I will say I have yellow undertones/olive skin, so if you don't then go with the P shades.

Big Umph for Small Price!

I bought this foundation (1.2N) without much expectation. I had been wanting to try it out for a while and finally pulled the trigger on buying some other Ordinary products and included this as well. I am highly impressed by the coverage this serum foundation provides! The product feels very thing when you pump it out initially, and it is very thin, but it goes on well and STICKS even if you're not using a primer (haven't tried yet). I have now been wearing this foundation for about 12 hours and it's still on. It hasn't rubbed off at all, even when using a mask. I also haven't noticed the inevitable film of oil on my forehead and temples that I get using other foundations. So far I'm very happy with this purchase. Even if it doesn't work for a daily product going forward, the price, depth of coverage, and application cannot be beat.

Unbeatable finish

This is really comparable to the MAC water weight foundation at 1/4 of the price and it doesn't trigger breakouts on my sensitive skin. I love that this is true medium coverage. No cake, but it cancels out redness and hyper pigmentation. Stays for 4-5 hours, at which point just dab any creases with a moist beauty blender.

Helped my dry skin!

My skin was getting so dry from wearing a mask I knew I had to do something. I was recommended this by a friend and I absolutely love this product! I was able to match my skin tone perfectly and even matched it a shade lighter for the winter months. I would definitely recommend for those struggling with dry skin around the cheek and nose areas. Can't beat the price either!
