Would have been great if it worked
I received a faulty unit, took me a few days before I noticed something wasn't right with it. It would turn itself off if you move the cord which is pretty frequent. When it did work though before it turned off, I would say it's a good product for the price I paid. This is not as good as my GHD but heats up quick, adustable heat settings and does a fairly good job at straightening my hair. I do feel it's not as great to handle as a GHD but for this price, you'll get used to it.

Amazing Straightener
I live in NZ and I purchased this straightner online from amazon when I was unable to replace my Remington Wet 2 straight 2" ( which I had for 6 years) as I couldnt find anywhere that stocked them. I have really thick hair so i really do need a 2". I find this straightner and absloute dream to use, its light, glides really easy over my hair and takes half the time of other straightners I have tried in between. GHD being one of them, and the Instyler.. I would highly reccomend this product over those two. There is nothing about this straightner that I do not like. The price was very very reasonable, I did have to purchase a step down transformer for $139 NZD but it was totatlly worth it to be able to use this paticular straightner.

Absolutely amazing. Usually only my GHD's will straighten my hair as it is particularly thick and curly. These actually straighten my hair better than those $100+ straighteners, I only brought these as i have recently moved to the US and my GHD's do not work as they do not have dual voltage which is irritating, but I must say these are absolutely amazing and for such a low price even better. I would highly recommend these for both straightening and curling, they are fantastic and leave your hair feeling pretty amazing and shiny.

better than flat irons that cost 5x as much!!
I have been flat ironing my hair for almost 10 years now. I have tried MANY different flat irons, from CHI, Tigi, Sedu, Vidal Sassoon, GHD, Revlon, and the list goes on. I've used flat irons that have pulled my hair out, mysteriously stopped working within weeks of purchase, fried my hair, etc. Out of all the different flat irons I've used, the Remington S9500 is my absolute favorite. This product makes my hair look better than products that cost 5x as much!! My friend has absolutely gorgeous, shiny hair, and I asked her what products and tools she uses in her daily routine. She told me about the Remington S9500 and after reading amazing reviews on it, I had to go get it for myself. After using it the first time, I was in love. It heats up SUPER quick- like within 20 seconds quick (on the turbo setting), and beeps to let you know it's ready!! If you're like me and are forgetful when you're in a hurry, don't worry- this product has automatic shut-off after 1 hour. The movement is very smooth and it glides like butter. I have very thick hair and flat iron my hair in 3 different layers, but I only have to go over each piece of hair 1 time. I haven't had that luck with many other flat irons. This product literally cut my styling time in half!! The controls are digital, so it's easy to see exactly what temperature it's at. this is the best styler!
This straightener/styler is the best. I bought the GHD professional styler, CHI, and Remington. Surprisingly, Remington performs better than all the rest. I was very disappointed with the GHD straightener because there was no temperature control settings and i felt it burnt my hair. After using GHD, my hair looked dull and dried out and it constantly burnt my fingers as the tool gets extremely hot. Chi was nothing special for the price. There is no universal voltage so that means I cannot travel with it. It also does not have temperature settings. Remington is the way to go. It left my hair shiny and healthy looking. I was able to create curls WITHOUT burning my fingers. It comes with a 4 year warranty, and it has universal voltage. It's also significantly cheaper ($30) compared to GHD ($150 from amazon) and CHI ($70 from Marshalls). I'm returning GHD and Chi tomorrow!

and it's the best one I've ever used
I've been using this straightener for a few years now, and it's the best one I've ever used. I've tried numerous brands (Chi, GHD, a few others) and they don't compare to this one. I've even tried other straighteners by Remington but this is by far the best. My (naturally wavy) hair straightens easily and quickly, and it doesn't frizz at all. I broke my last one (stepped on it), and there was no doubt I would be purchasing the exact same one to replace it. Definitely recommend it!!
