Works great for our Dog home

I was so excited to purchase a robot vacuum and felt overwhelmed by the choices. I ended up choosing this one and after over 6 months, I don't regret the choice! Since it is a lower price point then the irobots, you must note it doesn't come with all the same features but that it still does its job and does it well. We have tile wood floors, high pile carpet, and lots of rugs. The Deebot can handle it all! We use this 4-5 times a week and it is able to pick up crumbs, dog hair, dirt, and dust. It transitions to carpet to rug to tiles, just fine. Occasionally it will do a strange little jig when first starting on carpet or rugs but gets in its groove quickly. It has a hard time with small, thin rugs so we lift those when its on. As long as I have had the deebot on the charger for the night, I have no problem using it without running out of battery. We have its home base in the guestroom and it never can find its way home, but I don't mind that at all, since we only run it while we are home, I take it back to its base when I'm happy with the results. Its so satisfying to use because you empty out the container and realize how much work it was doing while you did nothing! Our Deebot rarely gets stuck but when it does its on small thin rugs, under very very very tight spaces (there's a gap between our dishwasher and the floor that it always finds), or cords. When it gets stuck it lets you know. Our dogs didn't like it at first but are now use to it. I still use a large vacuum onc... Read More

We love Deebot!

I spent months researching and reading reviews on robot vacuums. I knew people who had iRobots, but I didn't want to spend that much money. I have twin toddlers and a dog who emits joy fluffs on a constant basis. After reading a few reviews on Amazon, one in particular ended up being our experience as well. We got one Deebot, we didn't pick up the area rugs and turned him on. We were amazed at how much he picked up, since we had swept just the day before. He easily avoided the stairs, he cleaned our area rugs, we have one low pile and the other a little longer. Our children are in love with it as well. They love watching him and try to decide where he's going to go. It also prompts them to pick up their toys, because they don't want Deebot to eat it. After three days we bought a 2nd one for our upstairs. We do have a thick rug in our children's room which my Shark has a problem with. Deebot did go over it, but when he tried to edge around it he got stuck. This was more than what I thought he was going to do and we easily pick it up for him. He goes under most of our furniture, we did have one couch that was low, which we got longer legs for, so we don't have to move it around for him to get under it. We love our Deebots and he does a great job cleaning up after our toddler's messes and the dog joy fluffs. If we run them every day we don't have to worry about emptying the collection tray mid-cleaning.

Best Product - So happy with my purchase.

Love, love, love it. I have 2 dogs and a pet door in my house. Every day I come home to sand, dirt and leaves that the dogs track in. No more pulling out the vacuum daily. Now I walk in the door, say "alexa, tell deebot to start cleaning" and let it go. Yea, it does a great job. So easy to set up to Alexa and phone app. Does an awesome job. Make sure you have a spot on a bare wall to set it up. If your like me, your furniture covers all your outlets. lol This product has made my cleaning tasks so much easier. It has removed all the dust bunnies from under the beds and dressers. I have all hardwod and laminate flooring (no carpets) so it works great. I did have one throw rug on the bathroom floor that deebot likes to burrow under and then send out a distress beep. Now, I just close the bathroom door. I ordered the extra kit with brushes, filters, etc. Haven't had to use any spare parts yet. Every other day, I simply remove the trash bin, empty it and run it and the filters under the spray faucet in the kitchen. ( I even wash the paper filter and sponge filter and they are holding up great). Pick up shoes. I find that deebot plays games with my house shoes :). My friends and neighbors are all so jealous. They are all buying one now and asking me to come set up Alexa in their houses. I wish I had bought this product sooner. Absolutely love it. Can't imagine not having one now. Price was within an acceptable range. I'm just amazed at how well it works. Note: I also bought the IRo... Read More

Love it!!!

Didn’t want to use this until I really cleaned my floors, meaning a good vacuum and mop. Ya know, fresh start. With 4 indoor animals & a husband...can never be to careful. Even though I did a good cleaning and ran this same day after. It picked up so many fine particulars and dust, it was crazy. It was full before I knew it. Sometimes it gets confused going home but I have several friends with iRobot’s & there’s so the exact same. This one does have 2 brushes & a remote + app which the iRobot’s don’t have. I chose the cheaper vacuum because my dog has a love for attacking my vacuums & I'm waiting for the day he chooses this one. Didn’t want to sink a lot into it knowing it may not make it long. If this one doesn’t, I would buy it again.

If you’re skeptical about robotic vacuums, this is a great product to change your mind.

my parents had one of the original iRobots almost a decade ago and it was bulky, loud, and certainly not smart. I’ve had a bias against robotic vacuums ever since, but recently heard others had a lot of success with their newer versions. I hopped on Amazon to see if there was an affordable model and luckily saw this was a “deal of the day” for $179 with fantastic reviews. It hasn’t disappointed. I can start it/stop it from my phone or Alexa via my Echo dot, it has multiple cleaning modes, I can set it on a timer to clean at a certain time each day, it finds its own charging port when it’s running low, and it’s much quieter and thinner than the one I was used to. The first time we used it, it picked up almost an entire bin full of junk running in our living room, kitchen, and entry way. It won’t replace the need for a vacuum entirely, but if you run it a few times a week, you’ll likely only pull out your normal vacuum once a month or less.

My favorite technology

This is my second deebot (so nice to have one on each floor!) and I think it compares well to iRobot. Something broke on my deebot and the company responded immediately and offered a replacement. I had a lot of family things going on at the same time and forgot to send it. They followed up with me to remind me to send it. Everyone I dealt with was amazing and the customer service was top notch. The replacement is perfect. I recommend deebot to all my friends now!

I named him Tyrone...

Tyrone is the best household present that I've ever bought myself! He is was $50 less expensive than the iRobot Rumba, but I have to believe that he does everything that does, and more. He is sensitive to it's surroundings so he doesn't slam into chairs, tables, pets, etc. He gently maneuvers away. I have low pile area rugs which he does a good job on covering, along with my tile and hardwood, but I do have to save him from my shag area rug when he wanders into the room. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, one of which sheds a lot and I am so pleased each night when he runs and I can actually walk around barefoot!

So far so mostly good

I got my Debot N79S in November 2018 and really have nothing bad to say about it. I have five (yes five) big dogs, and I run this and my iRobot at least once every other day. It's much better at cleaning hardwood and carpeted floors then my iRobot (and much smarter, too). It's unbelievable what it pulls out of the carpets. The suction and filters are fantastic. The ap is great too, although it was a little clumsy to get it to connect to my wifi. Really love that I can schedule it to clean, especially in the middle of the night, and that it's very quiet. Battery life is great and it docks itself when the battery gets low. I live in a house with multiple levels, and its sensing technology works great (I have to set up a sensor for the iRobot). The ONLY -- maybe -- negative thing that I have to say is that after 2 months of use it seems to be moving slower and is a little louder. It still suctions great and gets the job done, I just hope it isn't wearing out.

Dump iRobot and get this one

I have two irobots. Comparing this to them, this is much quieter, does not get stuck on my carpet like the roomba does. The bin is bigger. And for the price, it can’t be beat. It has more sensors than the roomba. It doesn’t hit the wall very often. There’s a remote that you can put on the table or you can use the remote on your phone. It does spot cleaning, edge cleaning and all over cleaning. The only bad thing about buying this there was no invisible walls. So I use my irobot wall sensors and they work together.
