People say Techwood is really similar to Kitchenaid.
Splatter guard is IMPORTANT! And this mixer has it!!

Overall, I am very satisfied with this mixer, it offers great power (800W) with affordable price (compared to KitchenAid), and the design details also makes me happy. Before buying this mixer, I actually first bought the Aucma stand mixer (the pink one shown in pic 1) and returned it. That was my first experience of buying mixers. One design flaw, to be honest most stand mixers will have, is there is no splatter guard on the dough hook. This is very important! Without that, the dough will climb up the dough hook like what's shown in pic 1, getting stuck into the spring and the connections with the main base, which is very difficult to clean. I tried getting those dough out from the spring using needle, which wasted a lot of my time. And there is no way to stop the dough climbing up the hook. I have to keep an eye watching the dough to avoid climbing, and this stalls me from multi-tasking during baking. I did search a lot online for the solution, for example, 1) "this climbing is a normal phenomena which indicates the beating is done". I personally don't believe so because the dough start to climb within 3 minute of beating, which is far from done; 2) "The dough is too wet, try adding less water, or adding some dry flour during the beating". But different recipes requires differe... Read More
Excellent product. Rivals the more expensive KitchenAid models.
Excellent mixer with multiple attachments making, baking, creating recipes and bread very simple. Powerful but quiet. Very easy to use with excellent price point. Very good value for the money. I would recommend this product to everyone.
Solid mixer, works great, low cost!
Great mixer for way less cost than a Kitchenaid! Looks good and does exactly what I need it to do.
I love this mixer!!!! And its so beautiful and works as well as my kitchenaid
Not a KitchenAid, but adequate so far
If I could have afforded a KitchenAid, I would have gotten one. I don't do a lot of baking, but as I get older it is harder and harder to hold a hand mixer. I used this for the first time today to mix a packaged cake mix. When I was emptying the bowl, there was a lot of unmixed mix in the bottom of the bowl--I guess the beaters didn't get down to the bottom of the bowl. I had to mix it in by hand. It's noisy, but I will have to see. Obviously, it's a lot cheaper than the KitchenAid and if I was doing a lot of baking, I probably would have spent the extra money.
Works fine and is MUCH lighter than others.
I'd been using a Kitchenaid for years and was tired of the weight of the thing and having to whack it hard to get the lever to change position after a few years. A friend was happy to take it. This mixer is so different that it took a bit to get used to it. I wish it had a few more settings and it is loud, but does what I needed it for. It can be found on sale and I'd wait for that again - but still, half the price of the Kitchenaid makes it a good value even at full price.
Gets the job done that my KitchenAid commercial mixer used to--just a lot more noisy
Given the price point I was quite a bit concerned about the quality. It feels fairly light and medium grade plastic, but it functions well. It does just as good of a job whipping egg whites that my commercial mixer does, but it's quite noisy. I haven't made anything to challenge the motor, but for light mixing, at this price point, you can't do better.
This is too loud and under performs for the value.
This mixer is extremely loud, probably too loud for apartment living. And it's too heavy to want to send back for a refund. It does not perform like a kitchenaid mixer. Not worth it.
