Reviews for Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder, Light Medium, 0.7 oz.

People say Maybelline New York is really similar to Laura Mercier.

Buy it, You'll Love It!

Love it! Laura Mercier better watch her back lol For a fraction of the cost, I get the exact same finish and lasting power. I bought both the Deep and the Dark shades. The DARK is DARK. For reference I wear Coconut in Maybelline Fit Me and Rich Cocoa in Estee Lauder Double Wear, and Soft Sable in anything L'Oreal, and I can only use the DARK on the perimeter of my face. The Deep is the perfect shade for all over my face, but I usually use it to set my under eyes when I'm not going for a bright/highlighted under eye look. Will definitely buy more, the hype is actually accurate this time.

Beats my high-end setting powders!!!

I love this!! I’m a setting powder junkie & always looking for something better. This beats all of my high end powders including Laura Mercier. This is soooo finely milled and feels like silk, reminds me very much of my Smashbox Halo except that Maybelline’s provides a better matte/flawless finish (and does not have a $45 price tag). It greatly reduces my pores when applied with a damp beauty blender. However, the ONLY slight downside is that I have dry skin so I have to finish with a hydrating spray (Mac’s fix or Mario Badescu) but I typically have to do that after using any setting powder, especially in the winter. I purchased light/medium and it’s a titch light (my lightest foundation is 220 natural beige Fit Me). But I can warm it up with some bronzer.

Good setting powder even though says finishing powder.

The only complaint is the packaging. Powder goes everywhere and will not go to bottom. Other than that, love it! Better than Laura Mercier, seriously. I used that expensive stuff for years until I discovered maybelline. I’ve been a lancome, L’Oréal girl but L’Oréal really sucks compared to Maybelline. This powder is very light and not cakey. Gives a nice sheer. Not matte or glowy, must a nice blurring sheer.

Better than Laura mercier’s loose powder

I have the Laura Mercier loose translucent powder everyone raves about, and I’m putting it away to use this instead. This powder looks so much better and smoother on, and it doesn’t get nearly as cakey over foundation as the others do. I absolutely love it! It was recommended to me by a girl working at Sephora...I was skeptical to switch to a cheaper brand because I’m willing to pay for higher-end stuff, but this makes that unnecessary! They nailed it

Perfect dupe for an expensive setting powder

I used to drop a lotttt of money on one Laura Mercier or Smashbox setting powder, but this is a SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper dupe you can find from a drug store, or in this case, Amazon! I used to use translucent and would sometimes look cakey or really pale, but then I realized I should be using one that has a tint in it. I got light medium, and it's perfect! It keeps my concealer bright and it lasts throughout the day. It's mattifying but doesn't cake up. I would most def. recommend this over some of the more expensive powders I've used.

Fine and smooth

what would I compare this great super fine powder to? This powder is just as good as, if not better than, laura mercier setting powder. It is easy to apply and can be used on its own or on top of liquid products. Really makes my makeup last a full day.

Dupe for the Laura Mercier

The reason I bought this was because I couldn't keep affording to buy a loose powder from Sephora. So I looked up online what was a dupe for it and this powder popped up. I am happy I chose this as it makes my skin softer than the other one and also it is a lot cheaper than the other. $32 vs $5-$8 depending on where you get it.

the best

I have used so many setting powders from drugstore cheap, to expensive professional and this is by far the best! It tops fenty, Laura mercier and bare minerals! each one over $35.00. it is very light weight, not talc-y or too matte, but really holds to skin and foundation while softening fine lines without caking up in them! I sure will be stocking up on this!

FAV MAKEUP PRODUCT

I’ve been using this to set my makeup and WOW! I love this powder. I’ve always used Mac, Make up Forever or everyone’s fav- Laura Mercier. It is better!! This doesn’t dry out my skin like all three above. Very lightweight but somehow gives me great coverage.

Better than the Laura Mercier

I have tried what feels like a million translucent powders, and have never been as satisfied as this! It lasts all day, is super buildable, and my makeup won’t budge under it. It also doesn’t have that weird yellow-ish tint a lot of translucent powders have, which I prefer. I love this stuff!
