Reviews for Wrangler Authentics Men's Classic 5-Pocket Relaxed Fit Cotton Jean

People say Wrangler Authentics is really similar to Levis.

Fits well... great price...

...not sure why there are so many 'one star' reviews stating they aren't 'relaxed fit'. I bought two pairs of Wrangler and two pairs of Levi 550 - (both sized: 42 x 34, 'relaxed fit'). In comparison, both seem roomy enough that I can tell on my elderly frame (isn't that the definition of 'relaxed fit'?). Both fit pretty well to size... waists are exact with only the slightest difference noticeable in length (Wranglers a tad longer than 34"). The biggest difference is that the Wranglers are half the price of the Levis! Both seem to have the same fabric weight, and both seem reasonably well made. I'm satisfied enough to offer 5 stars. Time will tell of longevity and wear.

Quality and value

Wrangler jeans have been around a long time. I hadn’t owned any for 40 years. I’m so disappointed in Levi’s. Terrible quality. They last a month. Costco jeans don’t last ant the fit is not good. I came across Wrangler jeans while looking around. I ordered a pair that had stretch in the waist. Long story short, they’re perfect. Outstanding quality. I found my jeans. This is what I’ll wear from this point forward.

Great for People who Destroy Denim

These are great jeans for guys who destroy their jeans. My fiancé has always been a Levi’s man - and he still is - but for work, I can’t see spending $40-65/pair when he’s going to tear them up in a few months. The denim on these is a good bit heavier than most others nowadays (I’d consider it a mid-weight denim), so if you or your man are hard on your pants, these are a tougher and more economical alternative that still look nice and fit well. He is 5’11, about 235 lbs and the 38x30 fits him well with work boots.

Best fit

I bought this with a Wrangler Cowboy Cut Original Fit and had similarly good experience so I am just copying my review of that pair here. I had two Wrangler originals for around a decade that were always the best fit and most comfortable over my other jeans (Levi's and Lee). Finally they gave in and I had to replace them. I was worried based on other reviews that the quality changed for the worse but so far (about a month wearing) those fears didn't come through and I am very satisfied. The fit is still the best, very comfortable. The denim is a bit rough and causes a bit discomfort around the inside seams of my thighs but I guess I forgot how a new pair of none-stone-washed jeans really feels like after wearing my previous ones so long. I assume the fabric will soften after a few cycles of wash and wear, and then that bit discomfort will disappear. I highly recommend Wranglers over Levi's or others - at least they are the best fit for me, whether the Cowboy Cut or this Relaxed Fit. They sit better on my hips than any other brand.

Keep it up, Wrangler!

Wrangler seems to be one of the last bastions against the laser-loom denim assault! Once Levi’s began using the cheap, streaky, laser-loomed denim, I’d given up hope! Then I discovered Wrangler still had the good stuff! Not only that, their watch pockets are still the traditional shallow depth rather than an impenetrable mile deep from which it’s impossible to retrieve coins!

GOOD TO GO!

Bought as a birthday gift for 86 y/o uncle. He was so happy to receive a gift that he didn't care to give a critique; so...must be good to go. Compared to 'imported' Levis nowadays that still cost so darn much, it's affordable and don't unravel in the seams or lose belt loops!

Extremely High Value

Thirty years ago, I was happy to find Levi's 501 jeans for $25. Today I can get these Wrangler jeans which are at least as high in quality as the Levi's while the relaxed fit, fits me WAY better and for less than I was spending 30 years ago. There is nothing to complain about.

They fit beautifully. Normally I'm afraid to buy clothes online

It came earlier than they said it would. They fit beautifully. Normally I'm afraid to buy clothes online. The two pair I got will probably outlast me so I probably won't buy any more. But if I had to buy more, this is where I'd buy them. I use to be a LEVI man but they got too greedy. Plus these are comfortable right away. Levi you have to wear for awhile. Of course I'm talking 501's. I do admit that I wish Wrangler had button pants though. I'd buy them right now.

Ain't nothin like Wranglers

Great value for real nice jeans. Wranglers are the best value that you will find anywhere. These jeans are as good or better than LEVI'S, Lees, or any other brands. No matter how you look at it, you are wasting money buying any other brand. Love these and will order more!

Great fit and Great Quality

Fits great and the quality is much better than the Levi Strauss Jean's I had previously oredered. I realized my pair of wranglers that I've had for 5 years was also thru Amazon. Should have looked befroe placing an order for the Levi's.

For men who are hard on their jeans

Fits good. Washes well. I don't put them in the dryer. I hang dry or line dry our jeans. Durable for hard wear and tear activities. Thick heavy jean material made for men who are hard on their jeans like my husband who is a machinist. They feel the way Levi's use to feel.
