Best athletic shorts I own

I heard about these through a blogger (as I’m sure most other buyers did too) so by the time I got around to ordering there were hardly any sizes in stock. Im 5’5” and 120lb and wasn’t sure if I would need an XS or S. All Smalls were out of stock so I snagged one of the last XS figuring I’d return if too small. I actually think the Small would have been too big in the waist. But seriously, I absolutely adore these shorts. I don’t ever buy lululemon but I know everyone loves them so figured they were worth a try as the dupe. I wear them any time they are clean and find myself doing laundry to have them. Ended up ordering the white when XS came back in stock and I’m stalking the navy and reddish color. I have told everyone I know about them bc I love them that much.

Not the same as Lululemon, but great alternative!

I bought these shorts based on the reviews as a Lululemon alternative. I’m 5 months pregnant and didn’t want to spend the money on a bigger size in Lulu for (hopefully) just a few months. These shorts for almost 1/3 of the price seemed like a much better option. That said, my review on the fit may be a bit off. Material: I can feel a difference between these and Lulu when I touch it, but I don’t notice it at all while working out/during runs. Still soft and breathable and that’s all that matters to me there. Waistband: I love this style in Lulus because of this waistband and these do not disappoint! Basically, this is what sells me on these shorts. Pocket: The back pocket is definitely different than the Lulus. The zipper doesn’t lay flat and the pocket is a little smaller. My phone fits perfectly in my Lulus where I can easily get it in and out. These take a little more effort to get in and out. Fit: The fit is good except the front of the shorts seems a bit tight. Again, this may have something to do with my pregnant belly pushing the front of the shorts out and not allowing as much range of motion in the front for my legs. I’ll be interested to see how they fit postpartum. I may be buying lots more then!

Ex Lululemon snobs review

My lululemon stats: Shorts: 6 (a little tight and 8 is too big) Leggings: 4 (I like a more compressed fit) Tops/bras: 6 I used to only wear Lululemon. I took a hiatus when they’re design team went down and now I’m back and school so I can’t afford it (thanks tuition). I found CRZ Yoga from a YouTube review and have been very pleased with their leggings and decided to try their shorts. They were always sold out and I would legit check everyday. I was FINALLY about to order the navy pair in a small, and the gray pair in a medium. All the reviews said to size up, and I wanted to see for myself. I won’t say these are spot on to Lulu’s speed shorts, but if you’re on a budget like me you won’t be disappointed. The sizing isn’t consistent between the two as you can see in the pictures. The width in the leg openings in the navy (small) is actually larger than the gray (medium). But the waistband is smaller in the navy. I also compared them to my 2.5” lulu speed shorts size 6. Which are now getting a little too tight for me. I guess at 30 I’m finally getting my curves (thank God). The small navy shorts are actually decently bigger. All in all I prefer the fit over my lulus and I hope the other colors fit similarly. I hope this helps! And please stop telling women about these shorts bc they’re always sold out and I now want them in every color.

Small fits if you are size 6 in Lulu

I live in Lululemon shorts. These are great. I’m 5’6” and 137 pounds ( thanks Covid), and I got the small white. See pictures. Fits great. No issues. Longer and roomier than lululemon. I wear a 6 in lululemon. Material is soft enough, not as soft as Lululemon but very comfortable. I’m getting more colors!

I ordered Lulu and these and liked these better!

I’m looking for athletic clothes that can do more than just work out. I want something flattering to go over swimsuit, and can look decently covered to run an errand in. I want to look and feel good in it. So I ordered black size 10 from Lululemon and Medium (8/10) in these. The 10s are way to huge over bum and crotch, but had desired less construction over love handles. These squeeze an acceptable amount at waist but fit the lower half exactly as I hoped. I’m not sure if I should exchange the Lulus for an 8 or even 6, it was so baggy around hips. But I do not want too much squeeze at waist. So now I have to go into the Lulu store to fit test and possibly return. I am honestly surprised these dupes so surpassed the premium version! I am 5’7” 156#

4th Pair since 2020

I normally never write product reviews but given that this is the fourth pair I bought in the last couple of years I think that it deserves it! I now have the olive green, navy, black, and greyish color and the quality has been great. They don’t feel tight around the waist like my lululemons and yet the quality is almost identical. I just bought a few more pairs to officially replace my old Nike and under armour running shorts and I don’t plan on going back to them! I’m 5’7”, normal build, and around 135 lbs for reference (small fits great)

Great fit for slim figure

Finally I have found a flattering pair of active shorts! I purchased based on other reviews and photos, and comments stating these are similar to Lululemon. I do not own Lulu shorts to compare or comment in that regard. I am 5'8" and 130 lbs with a slim figure (little on the backside), and these fit the best of any shorts I've tried on. They are just tight enough on the butt to be flattering. The legs are somewhat fitted, which is just what I was looking for, as most athletic shorts are baggy around my legs, making my butt appear even flatter. They are breathable and stretchy as well. The are a tiny bit baggy in the front groin area, but not enough to complain about. I will purchase these again in another color. The navy was a nice dark blue shade (not too royal blue as some navy can be).

Finally!

This is my third try with the shorts because they just look so cute and have such a good review. The first time I tried them the sizing was way off and they fit more like a girls size 16 not a women’s small, the second time I ordered a medium thinking maybe that would work but they were way too big for me, so the third time I ordered a small again and they were perfect! Ha ha I wish I would’ve ordered another pair and maybe I will. After I tried them on this time they fit absolutely perfect in every way and have the nice flat front that I’ve been looking for comparable to the Lululemon. Haven’t use them yet for working out as I plan to later today but it seems like they’re going to be great.

Near Lulu dupe!!!

Dare I say these are better than lululemon high rise speed short with 2.5" inseam. I paid double for the lulus just to run a 10k and get terrible thigh rub burns because the material hits right where my thighs touch. Although these are not 100% comparable (mid vs high rise, short vs mid inseam), they are aesthetically the same. These shorts are slightly less buttery soft compared to the lulus, but more comfortable overall. In the photos you can see they have a more boxy shape, less rounded edges so not as flattering, but with the longer inseam you could comfortably wear them for longer. For the price, I'd choose these over lulu. For reference, size S for these, and size 6 in lulus.

Great fit and comfortable

I'm not a lululemon person so I didn't get these because they are knock offs. I just found them in Amazon. That said, I love the fit and the look. I wasn't sure about the built in underwear but they were great for hiking without getting too hot. Light weight and comfortable. I'll probably buy in another color or two.
