Reviews for L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer, Almond, 0.28 Ounce
People say La Girl is really similar to Mac.
This stuff is amazing!!
Are you kidding me! This stuff is amazing! I usually only wear Mac prolong wear concealer, little back ground on me I have very dark circles around my eyes, and I have sever dry eye and had to have my tear ducts plugged plugged so every single time my eyes water my tears go down my face or pools into the bag under my eye and even the “water proof” Mac concealer only works for so long... I will say I have only been wearing this pro concealer for about 2 hours but holly cow I have to keep going and looking in the mirror and how gorgeous it is!!! I reason I tried this is because I got to the gym 5 days a week and I usually throw on some concealer before the gym then shower after the gym and the Mac concealer is not cheap by any means and to be applying it at least twice a day just gets expensive... this concealer has by far exceeded my expectations!!!! Very very happy I feel like this will be date night concealer instead of gym concealer lol
Silky smooth hides imperfection
concealer was only about 5 bucks but worked better than my Mac concealer. Easy to use just set with translucent powder and apply foundation. Very smooth and conceals good don't rub it on too thin works great
I have horrible dark circles blue and purple with little bags beneath ...
HG concealer/highlight. Nothing beats this for me except MAC paint pots. I have horrible dark circles blue and purple with little bags beneath them and very deep set eyes that cast a shadow on my face. The yellow and light beige shade when using the tiniest amount provide full coverage and last all day with minimal creasing even without setting powder. I have pretty dry skin and these barely crease or cake even when applied in my under eye bags. Love this stuff
Works as well as a high end product
I have used this product before ordering off Amazon. The appeal lies in how great the coverage is as well as the huge color range in hard to find shades. I have medium-dark skin (NC43) with very yellow undertones. It's hard to find products in darker shades that have a true yellow undertone; most are red or pink based. This product in 'Cool Tan' is a very good match and hides the touches of hyperpigmentation on my face very well especially for the price. How I use: After applying moisturizer, I dot this on any dark areas. I then use a beauty blender to blend it out. I then apply MAC Matchmaster foundation over top and use a more moisturizing concealer from Glossier under my eyes. I then set everything with NARS Light Reflecting Powder.
Best affordable Concealer !!!!
I love this concealer, I use it as a foundation. I don't apply too much, I always get a lot of compliments on my makeup. I mix this with the color Toffee concealer and it gives me a sort of glow after a spray my MAC finishing spray. I don't break out and it is easy to take off after my day is over. It is not heavy at all by the way and I still use it to conceal under my eyes. You can also use this to highlight.
Perfect for MAC NC45 WEAR-ER
this is a perfect shade for me. Just for reference i wear MAC NC45 (mixed w a BIT of NC 44) foundation and this is concealer isnt too white or too dark, just right
Great full coverage; these concealers are amazing! I use this shade to conceal marks on inner face face - forehead and outer perimeter are slightly darker. (for reference: I'm a mac nc 42-44, depending on product, revlon toast (370), and Iman sand 5/clay 1)
very good quality for an affordable price
I received it very quickly I will definitely buy from the seller again. This concealer reminds me of Mac pro longwear concealer, very good quality for an affordable price. I love it!!
Works just like mac prolong concealer! Im a believer Now! I doubted the product before I purchased it!
Great concealer for the under eye area
Great concealer for the under eye area. It's very creamy and does not accentuate the fine lines around my eyes. I like this better than MAC prolong wear concealer.
I love these little concealers. Not only do you get a variety of shades but they really give good coverage. Every other concealer I've used creases under my eyes but NOT THESE!! At first I only used these for shaping and cleaning up around my eye brows but now I use them to do my whole face. They do not aggravate my sensitive skin and cause any acne. I'm really impressed. They fit perfectly in my hand and I love the brush for cleaning around my brows. I'm Mac47w foundation shade and I use Toast and Fawn.
Straight from Heaven
I truly believe that the good Lord Himself blesses us with this miracle worker of a concealer. And I say that because it will LITERALLY COVEE YOUR SINS. But seriously.. I use this to contour and highlight and it is absolutely beautiful. I see that some people say it can be cakey, but that is 110% because you didn't take the time to blend it out well with a damp beauty blender. And that doesn't mean a pat here and a pat there. If you've ever wondered why makeup artists makeup turns out so perfect, it's because they take the time to BLEND RIGHT. It should take you 2-3 minutes to completely blend your foundation ALONE into your skin. So your concealer should take the same amount of time if you conceal your whole face (like I do). Thanks for listening to my rant. Now. Again. This stuff is gold. I debated on whether or not I should get them, but thank goodness I did. Best decision ever. I remember saying things like "just wait until I learn how to do makeup and find a good foundation and concealer and my skin is clear and my eyeliner is on fleek. Then it's over for you snitches." Well. ITS OVER FOR YOU SNITCHEZZZZ because mama got her face lookin SNATCHED (I also use mace prep and prime primer, Maybelline super stay foundation, these concealers, and elf HD setting powder in translucent. Then I add bronzer, blush, etc.)
Next best color corrector!
I have only bought two color correctors in my whole life so far. First one being Mac (a little over 8 years ago) when I was first introduced to makeup. Believe it or not, I just ran out of that about a year ago. Clearly I was a makeup noob and didn't realize how much color corrector I actually needed. Just recently, I bought this LA Girl Color Corrector in the Orange color (I'm Indian so I have fair skin but a little bit of tan). I have under eye bags from time to time but ultimately, I have a crease under my eyes - it looks like I just woke up at all times when I don't have makeup on. Anyways, I love this product. It's uber cheap and a little bit goes a long way. Definitely recommend!!
Great inexpensive concealer
I use this product undereye only. For reference, I am MAC NC42/Estee Lauder Double Wear in Honey Bronze/Fenty Beauty #330. I use this concealer in the shade GC978 Medium Beige. It's a creamy formulation that brushes on easily with the attached wand. I usually use a Real Techniques moist sponge to blend in after I've applied my foundation, and the color blends in perfectly - afterwards set with a little powder. It adequately covers my dark undereye shading without looking cakey...and I would say lasts about 12 hours before it starts to crease.
I use to buy Mac Pro Concealer and this is a much affordable version for it. Great coverage and if you set it correctly there is no creasing.
This concealer just melts into my skin and it's so natural it maches my skin color so well I'm.. LIVING!!!
It's my go to foundation, like it even better than MAC
This brand snob actually can't live w/out this $5 concealer
I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to using drugstore brands. I prefer the prestige brands because I sincerely believe you get what you pay for and I worry cheap makeup will damage my sensitive skin... well I was wrong, at least about this! I had a professional makeup artist do my makeover for a weekend of events. I told her I'm allergic to MAC (it's true I am) because I saw a ton of MAC cosmetics in her bag. She told me not to worry and pulled out a ton of thwas badboys and I sneered. She uses these as concealer AND foundation on me and let me tell you, the coverage IS amazing and it lasted ALL day! I have since been addicted! I rarely use these for foundation (I think it's easier to apply MUF or Fenty as foundation since they aren't in little tubes) but I use them regularly as concealer and color corrector !! I'm a fan for life !
I am 35. I have dark under eyes and they're puffy, too. I use this and it covers every thing. I alternate this and my shape tape bc I got them at the same time and want to use them both up. I have had this for 6 months and there's still maybe 6 months worth left. I use MAC fix plus on my beauty blender before bouncing this into my under eyes. I actually prefer this to shape tape. It conceals and I got the lightest shade so it contours, too. It's thick and didn't ever oxidize on me. I like the formula, personally.
Love love love I have been using Mac and Kat Von D concealer which are pretty pricey but you LA girl is by far the best... only think is I wish they sold those shades in Hawaii
I have the worst hyper pigmentation under my eyes and many products leave my under-eye area looking ashy even after I use a corrector. However, this product is really pigmented and gives a full coverage. I also really like the finish of this concealer, which is very comparable to Mac's prolongwear concealer. I use the orange corrector first and blend it out with my finger. I would caution that you need the tiniest amount of product or else it will crease. After I blend the orange corrector, I like to take a napkin and pat the area to pick up any excess product. Make sure the corrector dries before you apply concealer!! I then apply the concealer in pure beige and blend it out using a beauty sponge. I think that a beauty sponge is the best applicator to use with this concealer because all others will leave streaks. Lastly, I set the concealer with some loose powder. I also have this in the shade TOAST, which is the absolute perfect contour shade because it is not too warm. It works for ANY complexion! The pictures of each shade are mostly true to color, however, the shades in person are a tiny bit darker.
Better than MAC concealer
I was a long buyer of the MAC pro long wear concealer... This concealer takes the cake for a dupe, even better. Compared to the MAC formula which was a lot thicker and harder to blend, this formula is thin yet build-able giving you the option for light or full coverage. My biggest concern was the coverage since the price is so affordable and most concealers with good formulas are pricey. This one is an automatic hit, I continue to purchase ( sometimes three tubes at a time ) just to be able to use as much as I want. I love that it doesn't make you look cakey. Even if my foundation is mostly off by the end of the day, the concealer stays put! Also amazing color selection. Would use Laura Mercier translucent to set, and now I will try this with the RCMA no color powder. Give this product a try!!
I have to get used to it . I always use Mac Pro long wear concealer so changing to LA girl is a change . I love how it holds and last long on my skin without any crease or looking like it's been on for way to long and time to remove .
So affordable but performs like
So affordable but performs like a high end foundation, maybe even better. This has become my everyday foundation! I'm NC 40-42 in Mac foundations and my perfect shade in this is Nude Beige.
This is my GO TO! For the price it really rivals some of the best concealer brands out there. I own MAC coverage concealer and I like this one far better. Many different shades/tones gives plenty of options to choose from. Def would recommend.
Dupe for MAC's prolongwear
A thick consistency, much like MAC's pro longwear concealer. Light ivory reminds me a lot of NW20. It blends very nicely with a beauty blender. I highly recommend.
