My go-to eyliner!

Being a former MAC makeup snob, I always thought I loved their makeup best. There was just something about it that made it better than any other kind, or so I thought. I learned just because something is more expensive, that doesn't necessarily mean it's better. This eyeliner is a perfect example. I've tried a TON of eyeliners over the years; liquid, gel, pencil and shadow. The best I'd found until now was MAC's Fluidline Gel in Blacktrack. Maybelline's Eye Studio Gel blows it out of the water. Reasons: -The color payoff is way better. A solid, pitch black line that won't quit as the hours pass. -Less creasing with my upper lid, even without eye primer (I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer to ensure this never happens) -Longer lasting. More dramatic, winged styles won't easily smudge, fade or fall on my combination/oily skin. -Comes with an AWESOME eyeliner brush. The brush it comes with is perfect for any style eyeliner you'd like to do -Cheap. Almost half the price of the Mac Fluidline Gel -Product in pot doesn't cake up. I could never use my MAC Fluidline fast enough before it would crackle and dry up in the pot (the lid was always on too, weird). -Product goes a long way. I bought it in September 2013, and I still have over a half pot left even with daily use. One pot will easily last you 6 months to a year. I love Maybelline Eye Studio Gel and I think you will too!

Dupe for Blacktrack

I was skeptical, but this is a dupe for MAC Blacktrack. The brush it comes with is mediocre, but when I use my own tiny thin brush I usually use with my Blacktrack, there is almost no difference between the two liners. This stuff doesn't go on quite as smooth, but almost. And it stays put through several eye drop applications daily (post-Lasik). For the price, I will be using this for now.

Must have eyeliner

For a gel eyeliner, I cannot tell the difference between this one and Bobbie Brown or Mac, or other more pricey brands. Gel liners don’t dry super fast but the color is rich and easy to apply. I touch with a bit of eye shadow in same color to prevent smudge if I don’t have time to wait for it to dry.

Great product!

This product is everything everyone has write about it. Rich color, stays on and applies sooooo well and I'm a first time user. I find it easier to use than a pencil liner. You get more of an even line. I also use MAC's liquid liner and have to say there is no difference in quality or stay on power. Both are equal except for MAC is a bit more pricey. I plan to buy it again.

more than worth it but switch out the brush

I love gel liners. I think they give the darkest lines and have the most staying power and can be manipulated easily for a for smokey eye. This one is just as good as the comparable MAC and smashbox sets. It only lost one star for the brush it came with. Trying to apply with included brush = thick unsteady and uneven lines. I use a #2 flat brush that's actually for detail work in my paintings but works great for eyes. The best thing about these pods of liner is they literally last forever. I had one from MAC that lasted like 2 years and never ran out just finally dried out. I thought that was worth the money and this one's just as good for 1/3 of the price. I'm a year into this one, and granted I haven't been using it daily, but at least once a week or so and I still have the majority left. It doesn't make a mess, doesn't melt in the car, and has yet to dry out over a year later. I'll rebuy it when I need to but at this point it looks like the one I have now will outlive me. Lately I've been using 90% drug store makeup because I seem to have developed an allergy to MAC and lancome skin and eye makeup, and for whatever reason, I haven't had a problem with drug store brands (namely Covergirl, Maybelline, NYX)

Best drugstore gel eyeliner out there

For under $10, this is seriously some quality product. I've used a handful of gel eyeliners from other drugstore brands as well as high end ones, and I can confidently say that this is worth your money and time. The only better gel eyeliner that I've used is Inglot's, but it's hard to get your hands on it as it is relatively new to the states (I live in LA, so there are a handful of Inglot stores or Macy's stands for me). I love that it's in a glass jar as opposed to Inglot's plastic one, which helps to prevent the gel from drying out. I usually hate it when makeup comes with brushes and applicators because they are usually terrible, but this little brush is actually great. When I use gel liner, I usually use a brush similar to one in the package. I tend to have oily lids, and this product does not disappoint in staying put. It will smudge if you don't let it dry thoroughly. It's great that it's waterproof and can double as a mascara in a pinch. The reason why I knocked off one star (I wish it was only 1/2 a star) is because the pigmentation of the product is not quite there. I have to reapply a second time to get the line completely black, but it's not a big deal for me. For the quality, price, and the bonus brush, I would absolutely choose this produce over other gel liners from Bobbi Brown, Mac, Shiseido, etc. I definitely recommend this product.

FANTASTIC GEL LINER!

This was my first gel liner purchase. I heard how so many people have become fans of MAC gel liners but since this had such fantastic reviews, I decided to give this a try. My expectations have definitely been exceeded! It glides on smoothly, stays all day - through sweat, rain and shine - and looks the same at 5pm as it did when I applied it at 7am. The only downside I've noticed is that the pot appears as though it dries out after a month or so, but it's still usable. I don't use it daily anymore, but when I occasionally do, it holds up great (and I opened it about 2 months ago). I order the brown color and it's a really nice shade of beautiful brown. Still an intense color with good pigment, but not too dark or light. Definitely brings out my blue eyes. Highly recommended - give it a try!

Love it! Minus the slight glitteryness

This product is amazing for the price. I used to use a MAC gel eyeliner and it wasn't as easy to apply as this product. The brush that comes with it is AMAZING too. Easiest application ever. The only problem I had with this product was that it was slightly glittery. I was expecting a solid, black, everyday color, so the glitter caught me off guard. I purchased it in Charcoal 954 so beware if you're looking for a solid color!
