Cheap Alternative to Nanoleaf
I have about $700 invested in Nanoleaf and this was the best/cheapest alternative I've found. Compared to Nanoleaf, the app is pretty bad. But it does the job and there's a lot of customization available. I think the lights themselves are pretty good and have a wide range of effects. The lights are very bright when used at 100%. I'll probably never use mine over 25%. It works with Alexa but the alexa skill and the native app are named differently and I never saw it documented anywhere. The Alexa skill is called lifesmart....saved you a google click. I got the lamp with 10 modules and I probably wouldn't get any set that was smaller. In reading the last few comments before I purchased 2 of these, there was a comment about the packaging being excessive. Then the next guy was like, 'really, buddy?!'. I kinda felt the same way until it got here. Let's just say I spent more time unpackaging and cleaning up than I did setting up the lamp. All the boxes are folded origami style so you can flatten them all or a relatively small size, but you're talking at least 20 individual boxes and dividers for ONE lamp. No fear of these lights being damaged in transit whatsoever, but it was a bit of overkill. I like the lights and I think they're a great value. The item is as described. The touch sensor is about useless, (you have to fumble around behind the lamp to find it with blinding LEDs in your eye but this is not a feature I care about). The app isn't the best UI/UX but I'm not here f... Read More

Just as Good as Nanoleaf!
Other than being smaller in overall size, these hexagonal lights are just as good as more popular brands like Nanoleaf. I especially love that each segment can display a variety of colors, much like the Lifx tiles can. The touch feature on the base unit is a really nice touch too. I definitely plan on getting several more of them in the future so I can experiment with wall mounting strands of them.

MEZMERIZING
I have spent a lot of money on lights the last few months. Phillips Hue, lifex, nanoleaf, light controllers, strip lights you name it. For some reason I like these the best. They are small. Very easy to install. I don't like that it's powered by USB. you will need a USB to wall plug to make it work. The colors and themes are awesome. I have 10 lights total. I will buy more.

I only wish they were bigger.
The beauty of these things cannot be understated. If you've ever seen the LIFX Beams and (sadly) discontinued LIFX Panels it's of that level of quality and multicolor diffusion. The App is weird-ish but still easy to use. The only pet peeve is that they are very small in comparison to other panels but they do have the advantage of being RGBIC basically, and in most cases, you're NOT gonna see or notice each LED through the panel because the light is diffused very well. If they doubled the size and price they would be real competitors with Nanoleaf and I really mean that. Even in their small form I think they're still well worth the cost.

A solid alternative to nanoleaf for half the price
I don't know what some reviewers are talking about. These panels are easy to set up, put together, and mount on your wall. They're really vibrant, can get incredibly bright, and the combinations you can put the tiles in are endless. I set up the app and had it paired to my Alexa in minutes. Maybe some reviewers didn't read the instructions and don't realize that this will not work with 5ghz wifi, like nearly every smart switch/lightbulb. My only complaint is that they tend to be a little difficult to keep together while moving. Using the additional clips that don't transmit power can help with his. I'd highly recommend these lights to anyone who wants to try out this kind of thing, but don't want to drop $200 on a Nanoleaf set up. I'll update the review if anything ever goes wrong. But for now these are exactly as I expect them to be!

He looks super cool you’re kind of a Nanoleaf killer
As you can see in the photos the brightness is kind of the same on both of them but I think the Nanoleafs are a little bit brighter But it is a good desk Nanoleaf for my set up

Ease of setup and build quality is great.
I don't understand why these aren't all 5 star reviews. These are awesome. EXTREMELY easy to setup. All you have to remeber for the app is set it up to a 2. 4 ghz network. Hooks up to Alexa like a breeze. I'm going to bet the nanoleaf brand brings their prices down eventually because of how competitive these are.

Great alternative to the Nanoleaf lights
I bought these for my boyfriend for his birthday. He streams on Twitch and wanted something like this for his background but I couldn’t afford The Nanoleaf lights. These are a FANTASTIC alternative. Super bright, tons of color options and different effects, and you can even add your own effects or have the lights jump along to music! They were super easy to set up, the app that you use to control them works great. He loves them, and we definitely plan to purchase more.

Affordable neon lights
Much more affordable than nanoleaf and easy to customize.

Very nice addition to room
Probably better on desk than on wall because of smaller size than say the nanoleaf panels; but they work well and are plenty bright for their size.
