Best eyeliner ever but............................ you need the correct sharpener!

So first off, thank you to the lady who wrote a review on the Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof eye pencil. It's NOT self sharpening & I have found NO pencil sharpener yet that will sharpen that eyeliner pencil. The eyeliner is very worth getting & using but if you can't sharpen it, it's basically useless. Her review stated that the NARS pencil sharpener (also sold on Amazon for $10) was the ONLY one that will work & "BAM" just like that......... she was 100% correct. 3 small twists & I have a new nicely sharpened eyeliner pencil! I have very oily eyes & this eyeliner stays put & is mostly waterproof like it says & I can sleep it in & it's still there the next morning. And not expensive at all. Bravo!!!

Holy grail liner

Hands down, this is my holy grail eyeliner. I have oily lids and use a primer and it stays out all day long. I’ve also used very expensive liners from Chanel, Nars, Marc Jacobs... and this $3 liner beats them all. You must use the Nars pencil sharpener that you can get for $6 at Sephora. But other than that, enjoy the best liner known to humankind. 😁

I do like it, but...

Unless you buy the Nars Pencil sharpener, you will not be able to sharpen this pencil. So that's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. But I do love the pencil. It stays on all day and even while swimming. I highly recommend this product

Only Eyeliner I use

I only use eyeliner to 'tightline'...meaning it goes on my upper and lower waterlines, not directly on my eyelid. I like to devote my entire lid to eyeshadow and eyeliner/mascara just serve to draw attention to my eyes. However, the problem is that hard pencil liners irritate my waterline and smear horribly throughout the day. Applying Gel eyeliner is a skill I will NEVER be able to master. And liquid eyeliner is useless for me, as I don't do cateyes. This soft pencil was the answer to my prayers, and I've never found anything quite like it. It goes smoothly onto my waterline without pain or irritation, and if I'm going to be outside and sweating I usually pat a little black shadow on the lower waterline to set it (this isn't really too much of a necessary step, even if you anticipate crying or sweating! It's a habit for me). It looks great on - I always get compliments on what a vivid black it is :) It stays on all day. I see a lot of complaints about sharpening it. I use the NARS eye pencil sharpener. It's a few dollars more than you'd pay for a regular eye pencil sharpener, but it's extremely gentle and works well for this product. No complaints here. I knocked off a star because it's virtually impossible to get off at night. I get why, considering it's waterproof, but it actually hurts my eyes to try and scrub it off my waterline and I always find residue the next morning. But that's a necessary evil when you line your waterlines...one day, they'll make a waterproof lin... Read More
