MeshForce M3 Unboxing & Review

This is a modal window. The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.  First off, I work in the IT industry so I’m familiar with most of the devices available to consumers. I am a tech nerd as well and love to explore new items out in the market. These literally took me 15 minutes to setup via the app and are super user friendly. Someone with very basic knowledge of internet devices can set these up, that’s how easy it is. I came from a Netgear Nighthawk series router and so far the speeds I’m receiving with these are faster than I was getting with the Netgear. I’m averaging about 220mbps download and 10mbps upload compared to the 160mbps download and 8mbps upload I was used to getting. I have over 40 devices in my home ranging from game systems, phones, tablets, computers, electronic devices, nest thermostats, cameras, WiFi lights and my security system that all connect to the internet either wired or wirelessly at all times. I’m very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable mesh WiFi system for their home.

Impressed! Competes with Netgear Nighthawk R8000-

Current setup: Modem - ARRIS surfboard SB8200 DOCSIS 3.1 Router - Netgear Nighthawk R8000P Provider: Cox Communications - Ultimate (500 mbps) I puchased this product to compare with my current Netgear Nighthawk R8000p as I had heartburn spending $300 for a top of the line router when I had no need as I don't game and there are only 2 people using it. The netgear cost me about $300 and this around $85. Given the price discrepancy, I would have expected the netgear product to provide 3.5x the speed. I really hoped that this product would work well enough so I can return and "downgrade" to the mesh force, but I don't notice a difference at all. Our router is in the living room about 3 feet from the TV. Due to the set up, the TV is currently connected via WI-FI with the 5ghz. The speed is impressive and there are no buffering whatsoever. The Netgear app provides a "speed test" and I routinely got around 450-500mbps when doing a speed test. When I try the google fiber speed test online, I would get 250-300+mbps. After connecting this router, I did not notice any difference in performance from the living room TV. I have a home office upstairs and the signal strength was identical as well as the speed test using the google fiber speed test that you can search online. I was getting around 250 when connected to the 5ghz. Things I really liked: 1. The size of this router. Its way less bulkier than the nighthawk. The wife likes it better as its easier to hide and better on the eye... Read More

Fantastic!! Must buy if you have a multi-device/family set-up

I recently switched over to the MeshForce wifi system. Previously we were using a Netgear nighthawk router with an extender for my whole house. I was initially very apprehensive shifting to MeshForce as I wasn’t sure how it will compare to some of the other options out there. Having used the wi-fi system for over a week now and I should admit that I am pleasantly surprised with the performance so far. Our old router + extender setup did not patch up our entire house [we live a 2 story single family home with ~3200 sqft of area with 40+ devices actively using the network] and I would have to shift my connections between different router options as I move around. With one router on 2nd floor, one router placed inside 1st floor, and the third router placed inside the basement close to the modem, my whole home is blanketed in strong, even, consistent, and fast Wifi. I no longer have to worry on getting 5Ghz connectivity in patches, intact the connection strength is strong even in our porch and garage helping me to get OTA updates on my vehicles faster that I have ever had. Our network connectivity has improved a lot, previously when we had someone ring a door bell there will be a 5-10 second delay before which we can attend to when we are outside. I am now seeing that I can instantaneously connect to the doorbell. I had connected our homes NFS on the mesh network and tried copying over 10GB of content over my network and it took like 3 - 4 minutes seconds or less Another aspec... Read More

Wifi deadspots eliminated

I have been using various routers over the years. Most of them are ok for a short distance from the router. After being unhappy with many of them including Cisco, Netgear, TpLink...i decided to use the WiFi router provided by my Internet Service Provider ($5 additional fee per month). That was also ok only, there were several places in my house where we could not get proper WiFi. I read about Mesh Wifi and wanted to try it but most of the systems were over $200 - $300. Finally found this for much less on Amazon. Installation on MeshForce routers were a breeze. I downloaded the App and within minutes i was able to set up all three devices. The app is simple and efficient. You can change the network name/ password right in the App. Setup process is so simple, i do not see challenges to anyone using the app to setup the routers. Once set I moved all my devices to this Mesh router. I have 23 devices (Laptops, Phones, Multiple streaming devices, Games Consoles, Home automation devices) running and everything has been really smooth. All my Web video calls are working great with multiple people in the household using Video calls for School/ work. Speed on the network is consistent throughout the house. My phones transition smoothly between the different connection points when moving around the house. It automatically switches between 2G and 5G depending on the connection with no visible lag or any other challenges. The box that came with the router was well packaged. For me Amazon... Read More

Great signal, reliable product

I have a Netgear router that I have to reboot every so often. I wanted a mesh solution to cover the other side of my house where a TV is located. Even with a range extender, the TV is buffering all the time. Since I have this mesh, the TV no longer buffers. Best wireless network I ever bought so far. I used Dlink, Asus, Netgear, TP link in the past. They all go bad after a couple of years. I will update my post if this mesh starts to go bad. Update 4/9/2021 I just bought another satellite to connect my son's computer wiredly to a satellite. It was so easy to add that new satellite to the existing mesh of 3 satellites. With the IOS application that I downloaded from the App Store, I just needed to scan with my phone the QR code on the bottom of the new satellite and the app automatically detects it and configure it so that it can talk to the 3 existing satellite network. My son connected wirelessly his computer to the wireless network provided by the Netgear router, he still experienced some lags in his first person shooter. Connecting to the satellite with a network cable, there was no visible lag even in a FPS game.

Actually WORKS! Surprisingly FAST! Did NOT infuriate!

I have to have a solid wifi connection for work so last month I bought a new router (after using the same NetGear one for 3 years with mostly no problems). I got another Netgear one last month and it took me over an hour to install and I still had dropped service. Took it back immediately and ordered a fancy (expensive) new TP-LInk as I already have TP-Link extenders. It took forever to install (had to reset several times and reset the extenders many, many, many times) and would not even recognize it's own extenders on the app! No service contact numbers available, app was not recognizing the router sometimes. Wifi was better at reaching outside the house and all the hidden corners, but CONSTANTLY dropped audio and service in the middle of web calls and meetings, took forever to download and just was getting to be a pain. I took that one back last week. After reading the reviews, I took a change on this one as I was desperate. I can't afford to be on calls with higher ups and then not hear what they are saying (I am in charge of planning). I received this box in the mail on Saturday. I put it off until Sunday because I thought it would be another hour's worth of work. Boy, was I wrong! 10, 15 minutes tops and I was off and running with the app installed, all 3 wifi points recognized and connected. I placed one waay in the back of the house near a brick wall by the garage, behind a lamp, and we couldn't believe we had access out to the end of our long driveway, inside the ga... Read More

Thank You MeshForce!!!

The M3s from MeshForce have been the best upgrade to my home WiFi Network! When COVID hit the US, like many people we found ourselves utilizing more WiFi Internet at home for school, work, and leisure time. Even though we had 2 Netgear WiFi Routers, yes 2, one on each end of our home, WiFi was just always good enough. It did the job as you say. But then the frustration was settling in with the all day daily use. Buffering, connection issues when moving through the house, and only getting 25% of 200Mbps Download Speed (50Mbps) was just not doing it for us anymore. Come in MeshForce and their M3s and boom, buffering gone, I can walk around my house and I habe no connection issues, and now I am getting my full 200Mbps Download when I do a speed test. Setup was EASY with their app. I have Spectrum Cable Internet. All I did was take out my old Netgear WiFi Routers leaving only the Cable Modem. I then connected one (it could be any) of the M3s to the Cable Modem and followed the prompts on the app to set it up. The User Interface for the app by the way is so easy! After the first M3s was up and running, all I had to do was plug in the other two M3s and they immediately connected to the network. It took me maybe 10 minutes to do all of this. i used the same WiFi Name and Password that I had for my previous WiFi setup so that way my devices could just look for the same WiFi and logon. I was blown away by how easy it was and I was still able to connecty one desktop computer via the gi... Read More

Great buy!!!!

I have always used Netgear equipment. After my last update with them my router did not work as well as it use to. I started researching and knew that i want a wifi6 router. This is just another band that newer iPhone and PS5s use. Wifi6 is the fastest WIFI available that you can buy. I also wanted a mesh system as well. A mesh system also your device to roam from room to room without losing signal. This is way better then an extender because your device does not need to connect and reconnect. The wifi6 mesh system is fast.....i mean FAST. I could not believe how fast YouTube videos loaded and ZERO load time with sling tv. I live in a 3,600sqft home and i was able to get signal in all rooms of my house. My garage has concrete walls and this thing didn't care. I have 2 bars of WIFI on the other side. I also liked that this came with screw mounts underneath to easily mount to the wall. I was worried that this router could not preform but wow. Just wow this blew my Netgear away.

Easy Set Up, Great Connection

Been using this Mesh System for a week now and it's been serving it's purpose. My house is around 3000 sqft wide single floor and prior to setting up any Mesh Systems, I've been using just a standard 1200 NetGear Router. There are certain blind spots in the house when I was using just a standard router for the past years. For example, the Master Bedroom is at it's distance the most furthest from the Router, and will get only 10-20 MBPS. My internet provider can provide up to 1000 MPBS, so you can see how enormous of a drop that'd be. After setting this Mesh System up. One in it's original location. One in the living room, and one in the middle bedroom, I was able to spread the signal all around the house. Now I can get around 150-200 MPBS where the Master Bedroom is. Set up for the Mesh System is rather fast and simple as well. Prior to this Mesh System, I had tried the TP-LINK system. However that one was very slow in starting up each node, and the app doesn't seem to have connected as fast as the Mesh Force would. It took less than a minute for the Mesh Force node to start up and start recognizing signals from it's other nodes. Appearance wise, these Mesh Systems are light weight and very stylish. Connection wise, my Roku Express TVs usually have breaks due to connection or be throttled due to low connection. With the Mesh System that supports multiple devices (I think 10-12) it's experiencing less of a break in connection and no throttling so far in the past week. The ... Read More

Extends Wi-Fi Through Stone Walls

The Meshforce is one of the easiest tech devices I've ever installed in my life! More importantly, it extends my wifi range across four rooms, two of which are separated by stone walls that are approximately 1-2 feet thick. I am very pleased with this purchase and will probably get a couple of more units or dots to enhance what the Meshforce is already doing. The interface is a bit simplistic for me; I have to admit, I like Netgear's Genie quite a bit better. Nonetheless, it does what it needs to. This is an affordable investment for a great product. I've already recommended it "in person" to people I know who are seeking a solution to increase their wifi range.
