Reviews for OGX Restoring + Bonding Plex Salon Technology Bonding Cream Leave-in Treatment, 6 Ounce
People say Ogx is really similar to Olaplex.
Love / hate (mostly love) relationship with this Olaplex dupe.
If you’re looking for a product, where you can shower, apply, sleep, and wake up to smooth hair, this product isn’t it. Without a good blow dry or, in my lazy case, a straight iron, you will wake up with straw hair. Check out the pics. I was initially horrified when I woke up to dry, stringy hair. Buuuut, if you put in a little work, the results are amazing and keep for days. It is much cheaper (and IMO better than) than Olaplex. And it smells AMAZING. I basically love this product, HOWEVER, it is not set and forget. You have to put a little work in, to get the results you desire. What I do: apply to damp hair, style, then add a tiny bit more to dry hair, to smooth. No greasiness and minimal dryness!
It works like Olaplex and the price is great.
1st picture Olaplex 2nd Picture OGX. Can’t tell the difference. They both work very good the difference is Price. I used it the same way I use Olaplex with their #7 oil because it is a heat protector. I mix them together. Next time I will use the OGX alone to see the results. So far I am pleased. Just did this last night. Let’s see how long it lasts. The value for the money is great.
Pretty surprised with this olaplex dupe
I dye my hair like a bright red and Ive noticed over the last year or so Ive been doing it its been pretty damaging to my hair, the ends are rough and look and feel like straw, but I also have a hard time spending a lot of money on hair product which is also why I dye my own hair, I saw on a website that this is like an olaplex dupe so I figured why not give it a try, I got both the shampoo, conditioner, bonding cream, argan morocco oil, and the coconut oil spray, I usually only wash my hair twice a week and in between Ive been putting the oils on the end cause thats where most the damage is, and its been about two weeks and my hair hasnt looked this hydrated and soft in a year, if its looking this good in two weeks with all that product Im excited to see how it looks in a month or two. if I can find a picture of what it looked like before Ill update and post a before and after of it, but I am super excited about it :)
This was a find I saw by accident and I’m SO happy I did. This three step system has impressed me thus far. I’ve never used the Olaplex system, but I’ve wanted to. I didn’t pull the trigger due to the price. So I can’t say that this combo is equivalent, but I like what I’m seeing!
I can't believe this product!! I Finally don't have to spend a fortune on olaplex. This stuff works just as well, and so far,... Maybe even better .. and for 1/5 of the price!! So impressed. A HUGE noticeable difference in smoothness and dryness IMMEDIATELY. (I used the whole product line -shampoo, conditioner and the cream). Smell is not bad. Gets really sudsy and feels like it's really getting your scalp And hair clean. I went a little heavy on the cream and it did leave some residuals that were flaking off, lookin like dry scalp, but I really caked er on the first time. I don't think this would be an issue if you put the proper amount in and kept it off your scalp
Priceless for those who bleach their hair!
I bleach my fine hair about every 6-8 weeks (don’t judge me okay?). Since I do this at home, on scalp method, it can be pretty drying and damaging to my hair. I also condition after every wash and spray in treatments but nothing was really doing the trick, in my opinion. Once I grabbed this bond builder- my hair changed for the better! Even my hairdresser comments about how heathy my hair is! I’ll never be one to spend OlaPlex dollars when this affordable option exists.
This is #3 in a 3 step process (Bonding Plex Shampoo + Conditioner). A great and affordable alternative to the much more expensive Olaplex. It makes my over processed/dry/damaged hair feel and look like I turned back the clocks and have virgin hair again. My hair is so soft and silky having started using these products. I'm glad I found them. The OGX brand never disappoints me. Make sure you use the recommend dime sized amount of the product because it is quite heavy and has potential to make your hair greasy if you use too much. I also wouldn't use on scalp either (it says run mid shaft to ends) because of the heaviness of the cream.
Smells so good, has saved my hair!
This product is amazing for the price! I was looking for Olaplex dupes, as I just recently dyed part of my hair blue, and as you can imagine, it got pretty damaged from multiple bleaching sessions. This product has made my hair soft, way less brittle, and it also smells amazing!
Love this olaplex dupe
It’s improved my hairs and made air drying possible
Not quite as good as Olaplex but for the price it is definitely a great product. Definitely smooths hair and conceals dead ends better than any other under $10 product
