People say Spigen is really similar to Otterbox.

Affordable, all around iPhone protection

I was a former OtterBox user, but since they removed the screen protector from their cases and none of the cases were on sale, I decided to try out other case brands. My friend has a Spigen Tough Armor case for his phone and highly recommended it, so I got one for my new iPhone 11. In comparison to the OtterBox, not only is the Spigen case thin, but it provides all around protection. The case itself feels rugged, but is also easy to remove, if needed. The kickstand is a big plus, considering the relatively large screen on the iPhone 11. This case coupled with a good screen protector absolutely beats getting an OtterBox. It’s only been about 2 weeks since getting the iPhone 11 and the case, but I have no complaints about the case so far.

Dropped my phone on the street, got run over countless times, zero damage.

I bought this case because it was WAY cheaper than the Otterbox I had used for my last phone. The Otterbox has a built in screen protector, which got scuffed up over time and sometimes got water and dirt inside, plus a cover over the thumb area that got dirty and kept me from being able to use the thumbprint on my iPhone 9, so when I got the 11, I searched on Amazon and found this one. It doesn't have a screen protector, so I bought a $1 glass screen protector from the store (I live in Japan and we have these 100 yen stores, not sure if they have the exact equivalent anywhere else...). It seemed fine and I was happy with it in the course of normal drops and such. Then I found out how good this case really is. My wife and I were driving home one day and we needed to switch drivers. I was in the passenger seat with my phone in my lap. We switched places and I drove home - about 20 minutes away. As we approached out house, I realized I didn't know where my phone was. We looked around on the floor and didn't see it. My wife used the "find my iPhone feature on her phone (she likes to keep track of me...) and we see that my phone was still at the location where we had traded places. I dropped her off and frantically raced back 20 minutes more to the place where it had been dropped. I was praying, "Maybe someone saw it and moved it off the street..." I was imagining having to spend $1000 to replace this pretty new phone. When I arrived to the approximate area and parked the car, I... Read More

Durability

Ordered this case for my iphone 11. I had originally bought the Otterbox for my Iphone 11 but decided to switch because they have been giving a hard time for warranty replacements lately. Otterbox has historically been very good about their warranty replacements but lately they have not been as good, so I’ve decided to switch to Spigen. We have a few Otterbox cases for Ipads and 4-otterbox cases for various iphones in our family, but i am in the process of switching to Spigen because of Otterbox’s seemingly unfair warranty policies. So far I’m very happy with this case. It looks very good & feels durable. Will update this review if I drop the case/iphone and get to see how the phone does with the case. It certainly helps that these cases are less than half the cost of annOtterbox and they seem as durable.

Spigen for Life

I've had two other Spigen phone products prior to the one purchased in June. It's one of the few things I purchased on Amazon by reading the reviews. I used OtterBox prior to sampling Spigen and now swear by Spigen. Not only is it durable, but it safeguards the phone--ensuring high resale condition. All I've had to do was wipe off the phone, with a wet cloth, or rubbing alcohol, place in the box (I usually keep the Apple boxes) and resell versus trade-in. The phones look brand new-to-gently used and the case was still useful such that I donated it to the buyer. The OtterBox case was so worn that had to be recycled. The other reason I purchased the Spigen is to avoid Apple's exorbitant phone 'protection' plan and insurance. Imagine having to pay a deductible, on top of a premium, to replace or fix a phone. It's not worth it when a good case, and screen protector, safeguard the phone for much less. If you must get insurance, bump up your home/renter's insurance; add the computer protection plan to cover a lost or stolen phone/device and computer. Before purchasing the new phone, I asked the Apple rep if I should get a case or screen protector. He insisted that I didn't need one, but also admitted that when his phone scratched, he was able to use Apple's protection plan. I Declined Apple protection on the spot. About 2WKS later, all the Apple stores closed down due to COVID so even if I did pay for Apple's protection plan, who knows when or where I would be able to get the pho... Read More

Good case that ended up not as bulky as I thought but certainly not a slim/minimalist case

I do not like large bulky phone cases. I usually go for the single player, TPU or Silicone sleeve style. After my wife recently destroyed her phone, I got nervous and got a more substantial case for my new iPhone 11. While not nearly as bulky as a larger Otterbox or LifeProof, this does add some heft and thickness and, well, protection. I like it. A lot. And I didn’t think I would like bigger, thicker cases. Only negative is the covers over the buttons have to be pressed pretty hard but on the other hand less accidental button presses happen. So that’s good. I also like that the cutouts for the camera and Apple logo aren’t minimalist - they left a bit more space open to show off the color (RED in my case!) that really adds a bit of personality to a bland black case. Kickstand works but boy it is flimsy. Will easily break off. Looks like it’s easy to snap back in place but that’s ok I won’t use it much. It snaps shut and stays closed so no worries there. Also good price ($15ish)!

Very Satisfied!

I was looking for a case that was sturdy and NOT slick. Had an Otterbox Commuter case and that stupid thing slipped out of my hand so much I had to tape it up! Not so with this case. It's soft but grippable if that makes sense. Very satisfied. Would definitely buy again.

Great case

I needed a slim case for my new iPhone 11 that offered good protection. This case is way cheaper than an Otterbox Defender (my case for my previous iPhones). It's slim and slips into my pocket with nothing to snag. While the case is smooth, I've never had an issue of not being able to grip it. Overall I'm very satisfied with this case.

Excellent quality case

I just bought a new iPhone and needed a good case for it. My last one was an OtterBox but I saw this had solid ratings and was lower price. So far it seems like an excellent product. It fits the phone perfectly, it's study, sleek and all the buttons work fine with it. I have no regrets and would recommend this brand to anyone.

Personal preference: Didn’t like it. Too big to hold. But everything else is GREAT

I personally didn’t like it. It makes the phone way too big to hold and it falls from my hand. Rating 5 stars because I’m sure this is my preference, and everyone else will experience something else. Time to support entrepreneurs in this tough time. I personally would return it if I could. I used it just for a week and forgot about it until now. 10 days passed the return policy. But again, I’m not used to this size. (Male, not big hands). It however seems very durable, and I doubt it will ever break. Also, it is not as big as the old of waterproof/otterbox cases. Hope this helps :)

Compact yet sturdy

I was a huge otterbox guy for a long time, but got tired of paying so much for the case every time I got a new phone. This guy is just as sturdy but is half the price and comes with a kickstand. The only problem is my brother and father in law got the same case.
