Use High Quality AA Batteries
For those who’ve complained of “having hair ripped out”, I strongly suggest you use Panasonic Eneloop Pro, which are high-quality rechargeable batteries. Otherwise, this thing basically works as advertised. I have thick, curly, wavy hair with multiple cowlicks —- If it works for me it should do right by most mortals.

Doesn't get any closer than the Panasonic
I expected it to cut closer. At least there no cut, scapes or errors. I have to use something else to get closer
