Good basic primer
I had been using Smashbox primers for a while, but they're just so expensive so I decided to try this out. It gets the job done and I don't notice any huge difference between this and Smashbox. I do notice the smell other reviews complain about but it's not bad... it does smell a bit like cologne, but it's really just a fresh, clean smell that I only notice while applying. I haven't had a ton of dry skin since using it do I'd say it is fairly hydrating. Overall, I really like it and would definitely recommend.

Stellar product
I have dry older 47 year old skin that is acne prone. I have tried high end products like smashbox, too faced hangover and Becca first light. None gave me that all day hydration that this primer does. I do a lot of moisturizing beforehand and I exfoliate with AHA's and Clarisonic. I've been on accutane twice so if I get even a hint of a breakout I quit a product quickly because cystic acne takes forever to heal. NYX hydra touch primer has not given me any problems. I've been using it for months now, even when it's that time of the month, no extra pimples or breakouts. It has really helped with my dry patches, I'd say it's completely eliminated them now. It took a couple weeks for it to really work but these ingredients are not going to work right away, you have to give it time. I don't think my skin is super sensitive but I do break out with certain ingredients. This primer is wonderful. I use it by itself or over Becca first light so I can get a little more luminosity without looking oily. I think if I put my foundation on right after I apply the primer it applies beautifully and easily, if I wait to long, it's a little harder to spread my foundation. I use a sponge some days and a brush other days. I see no difference in appearance. I'm using smashbox hydrating foundation and with this primer I have gotten so many compliments on my skin. My skin type: normal/oily in the summer, normal/dry in the winter (I have only used this in the winter time so far) This became a holy grail for me almost immediately, which is crazy because I'm really picky about primers and skincare. I'm a makeup junkie and I only have three primers I've tried that I love and use regularly. The consistency feels like a gel moisturizer - reminds me a lot of the Tarte drink of H2O moisturizer that I love. In fact, I use this as a moisturizer all the time even if I'm not doing my makeup. It's very smooth and almost a little cooling, and it makes my skin feel so hydrated. It absorbs really well and leaves that slight tackiness that I l prefer in a primer. I bought and tried the smashbox primerizer because everyone was raving about that for the same reasons but honestly I (literally) reach right past it for this NYX primer all the time. Sometimes I will even layer a smoothing primer (like tarte timeless smoothing primer or the original smashbox photofinish primer) over top in my T-zone once this has had a chance to sink in, and it always pairs well. I'm so excited to have found not only a primer that I love, but also one that is hydrating and really affordable.

Great primer
This is a great replacement for the discontinued hydrating primer from Smashbox. I have combination oily skin and this works well with most of my foundations. My mother also uses it and she has combination dry skin.

Love love love!!!
I usually use Smashbox moisturizing primer, until I found this. I had been told that this was a dupe for the Smashbox primer, but in has to try it for myself and I am sold, I can get 3 of the Nyx Hydro Primers for the same price as the Smashbox primer... What a savings!!!!!

Best Primer in a long time
This primer is the best I've found in a while. It really is comparable to Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and a lot cheaper. My daily go-to Primer.

Definitely would buy this again!
Paired this with a foundation I love (I used to pair with smashbox primer but this one works BETTER than that for dry skin)... and its the perfect combo for me. love this stuff

Awesome for dry skin!
I have had a hard time trying to find a good primer for my super dry skin and didn't want to spend a ton of money. I saw this in the store and still thought it was too much for a primer but decided to bite the bullet since it was cheaper than ones such as Smashbox. I am so glad I did! This stuff is AMAZING for dry skin!! Highly recommend.

I will use this forever!
First time using it. I was a little iffy on using a cheap brand for a face primer but I love it. Works the same like any other brand , now I dont have to buy the smashbox one. I can get like 3 of these for one of the smashbox ones.

Nice!
I love this primer! It makes my face a smooth canvas for even foundation application. My skin is very dry, especially in the winter, and this helps my makeup not look patchy. This is a great (and inexpensive) dupe for the Smashbox hydrating primer!

Amazing product
I have very dry skin and this primer is the only one that has worked for me so far! The scent and the formula are amazing. Feels like a brand-name primer. I use this as a base and a few spritz's of the Smashbox primer water for an all day/night face. Definitely recommend, especially for such an amazing price!

Love it!!!!
Very hydrating and leaves a refreshing feeling on the face. The texture is similar to that of smashbox's hydrating primer. Definately worth the try if you have very dry skin!

Great for dry skin!
This is a great primer if you have dry skin. When my skin feels extra dry, this really gives it a moisture boost and makes my makeup feel better on my face. If you are oily, I would definitely stay away. I've used it when I was oily and by the end of the day I was an oily mess. It helps your makeup stick, but I wouldnt say that it is better than a smashbox primer, personally.

Good product
Usualy I purchase the smashbox primer and wanted to give this brand a try, works pretty good
