People say Amazon Essentials is really similar to The North Face.

Size matters!

First off, let me say that my whole family wears either Patagonia, North Face, or Columbia. Good stuff!....but I just can’t bring myself to spend $150+ dollars on a sweater or light jacket. If I was exploring Alaska or Northern Europe, then I would feel differently, but I’m not so I try and keep the expenses under control.I purchased this jacket on a whim and I’m quite happy with it. It’s light but surprisingly warm. It comes with a little bag so it must scrunch up quite small although I’ve yet to attempt it. And a word about sizing. I usually buy a large, but after reading a number of reviews here, I decided to take their advice and go one size down. To all of you who suggested that, a big thank you. It fits perfect! UPDATE: 1 year later: The jacket does indeed fit into the little bag that comes with it and that little bag fits perfectly fits into my small messenger bag that I took to London this past November. With a nice pullover sweater underneath, this jacket worked so well that bought another one. Cheers!

Great jacket

I purchased 2 of these jackets last year and this is my third for the family. These jackets are great puffers and easily compete with North Face and Columbia for style and quality but beat them on price. Very comfortable jacket for camping and hiking. My son and I did a Rocky Mountain hike for 2 weeks and these jackets did outstanding for us on the trail. Highly recommend and comes with a stuff sack!

Impressive packable puffer jacket!

After comparing several of the recognizable brands, (I.e., Patagonia, LL Bean, North Face, Eddie Bauer), i opted for the Amazon Essentials jacket. I wanted a weatherproof packable jacket to keep in truck in case of inclement weather. I have been overly impressed with this jacket. It is warm, waterproof, and the fit is superb. I highly recommend this jacket and the Amazon Essentials brand.

Better than expected

Decided to try this for a recent trip to Denver instead of the more expensive north face/Patagonia brands. Temps were below freezing during my stay and the jacket worked well enough with a sweater layered underneath.

Good coat. Very pleased.

Excellent value considering the competition. Bought because my girlfriend was always stealing my similar North Face jacket. Now she steals this one just as often. You could also spend 7 times more for Patagonia, I guess.

Seems to be sorta small for a mens medium

Little tight in shoulders (med).Bought for husband to wear under his north face jacket after he lost soo much weight after some serious surgery. For now, he's almost 6'1 and around 136 lbs. So works good for him for now until he gets his weight back. After that...I'll wear it!

Great quality and comfort for price

Was wondering about amazon essential brand. Great quality, looks great, fits great will purchase more amazon essential products and clothing. Would compare this to all exspensive brands such as patagonia, north face and say it stands right beside them in quality, comfort, etc...

Big savings compared to Colombia, North Face, other big brands

It’s warm and fits good. I also like the lack of exterior branding.

Cheap, warm, looks good.

I typically wear heavy hoodies and vests in winter but it's been really cold in the northeast. Ordered this jacket and in one day had it. Very similar to a North Face I have that I can't find. With a basic hoodie underneath, was fine in 28f.
