Affordable Product That Still Gets Results

Oh my gosh where has azelaic acid been all my life?! I have had rosacea for the better part of 15 years now. I have type 2, and possibly also type 4/ocular. I get papules, sometimes pustules, and really uncomfortable flushing all over my cheeks, and the pores on my nose are bigger than on the rest of my face. This product is a really soothing aloe texture, and spreads nicely on my face. I initially had some burning the first week, but now that my skin has gotten more used to it, it feels great going on. I started using it every other night, and now use it every night. The redness in my cheeks has really improved, the pores on my nose (and everywhere else) look fairly uniform now, and aside from a bit of purging (initially) in my usual trouble areas from using an acid, I am noticing less in the way of papules. I can’t believe how much smoother my skin is becoming! This is a very affordable product (yes, The Ordinary has a comparable product that is available cheaper on their website, but I couldn’t afford to meet the order minimum on there, so I chose this one instead). I’m recommending it to everyone I know who struggles with redness and breakouts! Update Sep 5, 2021: I just opened my third bottle of this, and I already have a fourth. This is one of those skincare products I find I just can’t do without!

Works great!

I have type 2 Rosacea- the type with irritated bumps. I’ve used topical ivermectin as well as The Ordinary’s 10% Azaelic acid suspension and nothing has worked like this! I apply at night after washing my face and then apply moisturizer over it. My skin is clearer, calmer, and I don’t have bumps. My redness is reduced, as well. This serum is lovely and seems to avoid drying me out while eliminating the papules and pustules. I’ve only used it for about a week, but a small amount works well for me and I’m seeing clear improvement. Wish this were a Subscribe & Save item.

Good Product with Good Ingredients for the Price

My doctor recommended I use an Azelaic acid treatment at night and a different acne treatment in the morning to help clear up the non-cystic blemishes on my skin. I first used a prescription foam, then a generic prescription cream, but this was cheaper than both and I think has better ingredients so I chose to try this. I have tried their niacinamide serum before and really liked it, so I when I saw this brand has the Azelaic acid treatment, I went for it. It has I think 2% or 5% less Azelaic acid than the prescription, but the doctor said that was fine. Honestly, I think it words the same as the prescription treatments did. I also know that The Ordinary has an Azelaic acid treatment for a couple dollars cheaper than even this, but theirs has dimethcone in it and I don't want to risk anything clogging my pores. The serum itself is good. The tackiness goes away almost immediately and it spreads well on my skin. There's not really a smell either which is good. I also think it has been clearing up my acne and I think it's helping to clear up some of my scarring too, but that could just be time. I wish there was more product, but I use this on my face, neck, chest, and back (about 2 drops per area) and it lasts a while. I think I've been using it a few weeks now and I don't think I'm halfway just yet. This doesn't break me out or clog my pores either - just want to throw that in there since I'm really prone to breakouts. If you're looking to buy, I would go for it.

Calmed redness & acne

I wish I took a before picture! I’ve tried so many serums for my acne and didn’t think this would help. But wow it transformed my skin. It calmed down the redness on my cheeks and I don’t have major breakouts anymore. The texture of my skin is so much better too so it’s not bumpy like it was before. I have sensitive combo oily skin with very oily t zone and my skin doesn’t make as much oil anymore. I remove makeup with a soft reusable makeup remover cloth with just water, sweet almond oil to remove mascara, cleanse with Cerave hydrating cleanser & a silicone facial scrubber. Then I use The Ordinary hyaluronic acid under my eyes and all over face, then this Azelaic acid serum, and finish with Cetaphil moisturizing lotion. This is the only skin routine that has ever calmed my skin & makes me feel confident if someone sees my skin without makeup now cuz it’s not so red anymore.

Works better than the Ordinary

I was hesitant about this Azelaic Acid brand because it is from Amazon. However, I tried a more name-brand product (the Ordinary) and it did not work nearly as well as Cos De BAHA. While I'm unsure about the redness alleviation aspect, I am more confident to say it does treat acne well.

If you have cystic acne, you need this!

I get hormonal cystic acne on my chin. I was using “the ordinary” azeliac acid, which worked well for a while, until it didn’t. I am a ball of stress and it was making my cystic acne come back with a vengeance. No joke, within 2 days of using this, my pimples shrank to almost nothing. I’ve been using it consistently for a month now and have had no new pimples, the ones I already had healed, and those ugly purple scars from previous breakouts have almost disappeared. It is slightly drying, but nothing a good moisturizer can’t fix. I would 100% recommend this to anyone suffering with cystic acne.

Holy GRAIL!

For someone who doesn't do well with any type of acids, I was hesitant to try this out. I'm prone to breakouts and redness and read that azelaic acid would do wonders for both of my concerns. I bought The Ordinary's version of this and was instantly breaking out with an itchy face seconds after I put it on. However I think that since this one is combined with niacinamide my skin reacts SO well to this. Results are almost immediate the morning after and my skin has seen a reduction in irritation/redness and has smoothed out. I've bought another as a back up and my friends who I've recommended this to have had similar results. If this was $40 I"d still buy it, thus the price they're offering is a STEAL for what it is!

Thankful! No silicones!

I am so thankful that I found an azelaic acid product without silicones in it and it's affordable. I also love that there is niacinamide and panthanol in it, which are both great B vitamins for the skin. I have cystic acne and this seems to be helping, my skin in general looks healthier and my post inflamation erythema is lightening. I had bought The Ordinary's azelaic acid suspension, and that is when I found out my skin doesn't like silicones. I had also bought The Ordinary's niacinamide serum and it would make my face red and hot. Now that I have been using products with a lower percentage of niacinamide in them and my skin reacts in a positive way. I highly recommend this serum. I have checked the ingredients on cosdna and skin carisma and there is nothing concerning.

Customer for life!

This is amazing! I love this so much. My melazepam cream and AA from The Ordinary weren't pleasant textures to work with, but this is amazing. I don't even feel any of the itching that's associated with azelaic acid (but that could be because I worked myself up to a higher percentage). I wouldn't say it's amazingly hydrating or moisturizing, but it works and is cosmetically elegant. That's all I care about. :)

No harsh synthetic preservatives, great product

Piling on the praise, but if you're looking for an alternative to more, ahem, ordinary products, this one doesn't have harsh synthetic preservatives. My skin is happy!
