People say Dinghao is really similar to The Ridge.

You just found your no-brainer, RIDGE replacement. This is the real deal. Almost identical!

Update, April 2019: Ive had this wallet for 5 months now, and it still looks new. This is the real deal! By now, I'd be buying a new wallet if I was using an old-style one, and it would be full of junk I don't need. This wallet is durable and forces you to keep your junk at a minimum! The elastic has lasted just fine and should last at least a year, providing you don't abuse it. I don't have any money in the elastic in the photos, but I usually have anywhere from 1-5 bills in there and it has lasted just fine. In total, just from me, at least 10 of these have been bought by friends already. A friend of mine is about to order another for his son. He said that after getting this wallet I gave him as a gift, he will never use anormal wallet again. I liked this so much, I bought 4 more as gifts. So far, the two that have received it are happy as hell. Others are even asking me where to get them! I compared it to my buddy's real ridge wallet and here is the scoop... This is almost identical to the ridge wallet. The only differences are: 1) The elastic doesn't have the buckle that the new ridge wallets have (most people remove the buckle anyway, to make the wallet smaller). 2) The elastic does not have the rubber dots on the inside to help secure your money (however, this seems to hold money just fine). 3) The diameter of the head of the screws is slightly smaller, which is the main visual difference comparing side-by-side... Pretty much a non issue, unless you are trying to conv... Read More

A fidget spinner for adults

Excellent quality on par with Ridge, but at a much lower price. It was a bit tight at first and difficult to operate with more than five cards, but it broke in quickly and now functions well with 10 cards. Fan function works best with fewer than 8 cards. RFID seems to work well since I have to remove my one RFID card from the wallet to get it to work on my office door scanner. The wallet has a good, solid feel, but does not feel too bulky or heavy in the pocket. Fits in the change pocket of my jeans. Came with a screwdriver and a bag of spare screws. This is my second carbon fiber minimalist wallet after buying a Fidelo, and I like how this design has a more refined, professional appearance. Very clean and sleek. This particular style is like a fidget spinner in that it is fun to manipulate and toy with. All minimalist wallets seem to have quirky functions and a learning curve, and this one takes some practice to learn ideal techniques to operate it quickly and efficiently. After a little practice, I'm very happy with the design and function of this model, and will no longer be longing for a Ridge, Trayvax or other higher priced model.

Better than a Ridge Wallet for much less

This wallet is every bit as nice as The Ridge Wallet. I made the mistake of purchasing one of their aluminum wallets which was bent and virtually worthless within a year of light use. I tried to get a replacement from the company to no avail. Unlike Ridge Wallet This company has an excellent product and for the price, if it dies in a year it will still be worth it.

Highly recommended

I highly recommend this wallet, for several reasons. 1. The carbon fiber is matte, not glossy, as in several of its competitors. 2. There is no obtrusive branding on the wallet, the money clip, or strap. I slightly prefer the money clip version to the strap, partly on aesthetic grounds, and partly because I believe the elastic in the strap option may loosen over time. Thus, the clip is more secure. It adds very little width to the wallet and does not catch on one's pocket, in my experience. The clip also balances nicely on a table; the wallet does not tip in any one direction and lies flat when placed on a table with the clip at the bottom. But all this is ultimately personal preference. I appreciate the fact that the strap version uses carbon fiber, rather than metal, which blends in better from the wallet and still works well aesthetically -- much more so than in many competitors that use a metal strap. Finally, this wallet easily looks as cool as a Ridge, which costs three times more.

Solid build quality, game-changer from leather overstuffed wallet, costs less than Ridge

My overstuffed leather wallet is untenable; causing nerve damage in back pockets and uncomfortable in the front pockets. The fundamental problem is layers: Leather-credit card-leather-ATM card-leather-Drivers lic-leather-Auto Club-etc. The solution is to 1) Keep the leather wallet but only for lower-priority items, 2) have a high-priority wallet with items used only weekly, 3) High-priority wallet has no layers of leather, just a secure clamp of 5-8 cards and some cash. Ridge wallets pioneered the concept and deserves credit for innovation with their $120 minimalist wallets. Previous clones aped Ridge but went too cheap with thoughtless lack of key features. This wallet has the small features like a chamfered edge of the entry slot, real matte-finish carbon fiber, screws that do not come loose. The price is around $20 for a quality product. Not much risk here and a great gift for men. If they don't like this minimalist wallet, it won't be for the quality A safe choice in my opinion.

Value That Gets The Job Done!!!

Just received my product today. So far, impressed. I needed a compact wallet that protects my info from getting hacked and holds my ccs without paying $100 for a Ridge. Mines hold about 7 cards easy and with the orange slice cut out, it makes it a bit easier to get the cards out. Just push and pick. Though fanning hasn’t worked well, that will come time and usage. I’m still practicing at home to get a feel for it. (In theory, you’re supposed to push the cards a bit with the cutout provided and then on the same side, “Pac-Man” your wallet for the cards to fan for easy picking) The cards don’t feel as if they will fall out as the pressure is pretty tight. It’s slim and small, made great for a quick slide in or out of your pocket. It almost feels like it’s not there. I haven’t tried the money clip because I hardly carry cash (even more so in this age of exact change) but a quick pull, snaps the elastic band back. It gives you the impression a good 3 or 4 bills would sit firmly and securely So if you want to save yourself some money, give this one a go. It’s a great addition to the modern man who wants exactly what he needs without unnecessary bulk. The value is there and I’m satisfied!

GREAT substitute for a trifold and ridge wallet!

I was considering buying a ridge wallet, but the prices were so high it was ridiculous! SO….I bought the EXACT look like here! Let me tell you, this thing is 95% the same as an expensive Ridge wallet and works just as good! Literally the same exact thing besides the word “ridge” on the front. I carry 10 cards in it daily and none fall out or anything …also the money clip on the back holds bills tightly too ! If you want a quality minimalistic wallet/clip, I’d def. recommend giving this a shot! Love mine

The Ridge at $100 less.

Bought this in 2018. Never an issue with it. I can’t imagine using an old fashioned wallet now. Elastic is still amazingly tight. I’ve never had a screw come out. I’d say I’d definitely buy this again but I can’t see any serious signs of wear so I don’t know when/if I would need to. I came back to write this review after seeing a YouTube review of the Ridge wallet and seeing that it’s $125! Unless you simply must have the word ‘Ridge’ on the side, this is every bit as good. Can’t find anything on the Ridge site saying ‘made in USA’ so it really seems hard to justify the additional cost. If you only carry 8 cards or less and don’t often carry cash, this is a great buy.

Nice design, works well.

I like this wallet. I was looking for something new and didn't want to shell out the money for a Ridge. It does take some getting used to. Removing cards can be troublesome if you pack it tightly with cards. Keep them minimum, perhaps I.D. and 1-2 cards, and it will work well. The finish is nice and they include extra screws and a screwdriver. It slides in and out of my front pocket easily. I've tried many minimalist wallets and I like the design.

Glad I made the transition from a regular wallet

I was a little hesitant to buy a cheaper copy of the Ridge wallet, but I’m 100% satisfied. Been using it well over a month and it shows no wear at all - the quality of the elastic is fine and it feels like it’s going to last a good long while. I have been wanting to transition from a regular wallet for a good while… It takes a few days to get used to getting cards in and out, but it is no problem once you make the adjustment. I was also a little worried about the elastic money band, but it works great – very secure and easy to use. The hardest part – it is so small and compact, I often feel like I have lost my wallet… I’m always patting my pockets to check and make sure it’s there. After decades of carrying a regular wallet, old habits die hard. All in all – I love this thing. A great value.
