The waterproof formula is swimproof!
One of my top concerns is that a lot of mascaras won’t hold the curl in my long-ish but straight lashes. This is one of the few that does a great job at this for me. And, it really is waterproof for swimming - even soaking wet and rubbing my eyes multiple times throughout a swim to “squeegee” water off my face leaves my lashes perfect. No smudge, no flake, and the original curl I had before getting into the water is left intact at the end of the swim (in cold water - no hot tub expeditions yet). I am so happy with this product! I have sensitive eyes and with this I get no irritation. In terms of application the brush gets every lash and lengthens. It’s not too wet or heavy of a formula so it dries quickly and holds my curl, and I have no problems with clumping (the formula is just how I like it.) A smudge mistake if taken care of quickly, can be removed with a wet qtip. For removal, I use Dior’s duo express instant eye makeup remover for sensitive eyes and it gets every bit of it off in under a minute per eye and without harsh rubbing. (I am heading into my 50’s and have aging skin and increasingly sparse eyelash and eyebrow hair so kind/easy removal is very important to me.) Yes, with the right remover in hand, this wins in the removal department too. My favorite drugstore washable mascara is Cover Girl Professional Remarkable smudge proof/washable (purple tube), and my favorite high end is Dior, Diorshow Black Out. This has converted me from more expensive mascaras!
I am a woman with a fair-to-porcelain skin tone and extremely sensitive skin. I purchased this mascara in "blackest black" in waterproof. I have to say this has completely outperformed my expectations. My eyelashes look beautiful and I was able to achieve the same result that I get with mascaras that are at least 3x the price. I'll include the brands I have previously used below in a set of asterisks for those who are interested in which brands I'm comparing with this L'Oreal Lash Paradise mascara. This mascara has a nice thick formula, went on evenly with little-to-no clumping issues, and is "blacker" than I expected (which I love). The brush doesn't grip as well as I'd like (Tarteist mascara is a stand-out brush for me in terms of ability to really grab-and-coat each lash) but with a little extra effort it turned out fine. My lashes don't feel brittle after the mascara dried, I had no flaking, I had no skin/eye irritation, and it lasted all day. And since I wore this in the rain and didn't turn into a mascara-streaked mess, the waterproof formula must be great too! I'll be buying this again and giving up on my beloved Tarte! ** For reference, I used Dior's Diorshow mascara before switching to Tarte's Maneater or Tarteist. Compared To 'Better Than Sex' by Too Faced,
Long time BTS user. Just bought lash paradise for the first time. BTS is certainly a superior product but not by much. It layers better and applies thicker compared to lash paradise. That's mostly it. This formula also dries a lot harder which makes it less prone to smudging. You can sleep in this stuff and most of it will be there in the morning. In conclusion, I'll probably use this product as a permanent BTS replacement because I love BTS but cannot justify +300% price increase for a ~ +10% improvement. 4/5 stars overall, but 5/5 stars for a drug store brand.

My favorite mascara
Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara had always been my favorite but I couldn’t justify the price. Along came Lash Paradise by L’Oreal and my lashes fluttered with excitement. This mascara has the same tapered hourglass wand with the same close bristles that grab each lash to make them long and plump. Same pretty metallic pink colored tube, half the price of TF BTS. And if you get it on Amazon subscription, you can save a little extra. Win win! 💖

Works great. On my second tube
My two favorite mascaras are too faced better then sex and makeup forever excessive lash. I decided to try this because I didn't want to pay over $20 for mascara lol. It works well. It is very comparable to the too face better then sex one. The tube packaging is not as nice and heavy but the product delivers. I don't have racoon eyes hours later but I also don't apply this on my bottom lashes. I use blinc mascara or loreal tube mascara for my bottom lashes as everything even waterproof mascara will always smudge on me (I'm oily skin). Using the tube mascara on the bottom has eliminated that issue and it washes off with ease. Waterproof mascaras are such a pain to remove everyday not for me lol. Will buy this again :)

Decided to try this, glad I did! I was using too faced mascara for years , and this works just as good! So instead of spending $30, I’m now only spending less than $10! Can’t beat that! Stays on for as long as I need it, makes my lashes look long, zero clumping! Also, very easy to remove! Try it!

No clumps. No reapplication. Big, dark lashes.
WILL NOT FLAKE. This is the best mascara I've ever had! It goes on easily and stays on all day and all night with only 1 application. I do not suggest reapplying or you will get clumps. I work in a physically intensive job and I also go to the gym most days. This mascara powers through it all, never smudges, never smears, never clumps. It's almost too strong! It takes a lot of work to remove it even with eye makeup remover. It will smudge a bit if you wash your face, but even then it stays on your lashes! I also bought the primer recommended with this mascara but have not noticed a difference with it. The primer is also REALLY opaque white. I've found it takes a lot more mascara to cover the white and it tends to make it clump.
