Reviews for Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Liquid Foundation Makeup, Classic Ivory, 1 Fl Oz

People say Maybelline New York is really similar to Too Faced.

Is very good and Cheap

What I like about it is not too heavy so it’s easy to blend and spread in all your face and you won’t feel heavy

Great full coverage, they gave me the wrong shade

Love this foundation for drag, super full coverage. I bought a different shade than the one I got, but luckily it was only two shades lighter so it wasn’t too terrible. Great for a full face of drag makeup that lasts a long time.

Great long wearing foundation-It definitely oxidizes a shade or two darker though

This review is for the Porcelain shade of this foundation, but I originally bought the Natural Ivory and Classic Ivory shades of this foundation. The Natural Ivory shade was a little too dark for me and the Classic Ivory shade was definitely too dark for me. I did not even bother trying on the Classic Ivory shade because I could tell it would be too dark for me after trying on the Natural Ivory shade. I normally wear the Classic Ivory shade in foundations, but the Porcelain shade of this Maybelline Superstay foundation matches me the best because this foundation definitely oxidizes quite a bit. This foundation looks good and wears well for a long period of time, but finding the right shade in it is a challenge. I will probably mix the Natural Ivory and Porcelain shades of this foundation when I want a little more color on my face, because even though the Porcelain shade matches me well, it is very light and makes me a little washed out. This foundation has a satin, semi-matte finish that is not overly dry feeling. This foundation will be great for the summer months. I would recommend this foundation, but you might want to buy a couple shades of this that are one to two shades below what you normally wear and see which shade you like the best.

If you have eczema or rosacea, use this foundation!

This is now my go to drug store foundation! I have rosacea, with days of really bad flare ups and this foundation covers up virtually 100% of my redness without having to build up. Truly full coverage, without being too heavy and cakey or have the need to use concealer first . Other thing I love about this foundation is how it doesn't cling on to some dry patches that I may have from my rosacea. Wouldn't say it's moisturizing but it doesn't dry out your skin considering it is a matte finish when dry.. I only set this foundation with a setting spray (no powder) and it lasts on my face for at least 12 hours, without it looking funky. My only complaint would be the shade variations/options. I have to mix light beige and light tan to get my perfect match. it does oxidize a bit but it's not too bad. Just keep in mind when choosing your shade.

Try it! It worked perfectly for me.

This foundation matches my very fair skin perfectly! Those pale girls out there, know the struggle is real when it comes to drugstore foundations and very fair skin. I love that with just one pump my entire face is covered. I applied it with a brush and a sponge; I prefer to use the sponge. Before applying it I was using both a moisturizer and a primer. It works better with just one, not the two products. I used just a moisturizer and it was enough. Otherwise, it can get too oily for my taste. If you really want that full coverage though, you will have to use two pumps. In my case, I prefer medium coverage for daily use. The packaging is great, I love that it comes with a pump. So far no breakouts (fingers crossed). If I don't get any breakouts this will be one of my holy grail foundations!

It’s important to know that because it’s full coverage we should not put too much on

I have used many expensive products and try to different brands. By far, this has been the best one. It’s full coverage without having to put too much of it on my face. I do have a little bit on those areas and I’ve been getting so many compliments on how much my skin is improving.

Great Full Coverage Foundation!

Beautiful coverage. It's not too thick and my skin has a gorgeous glow to it all day. I do recommend using a primer underneath any foundation. This foundation isn't drying, doesn't leave weird splotchy spots on my face and lasts all day. It is full coverage for sure so perfect for winter and/or those days where you want a clean canvas...which is basically every day. So, yeah. Buy this. It's great and inexpensive. Also recommended by a ton of beauty bloggers on YouTube which is how I found it originally. Thanks, Tati!

Very full coverage - you must blend quickly!

OK, so I’m in my early 50s and probably a couple of decades older than most people who buy this formula. Nevertheless, it was on sale at Amazon for about half the price I have seen it for elsewhere so I decided to give it a try after reading reviews. It is indeed a full coverage. But it is thick and not that easy to spread or blend. It’s not hydrating or creamy, but even with my normal to slightly dry skin it works fine with moisturizer or a primer underneath. The shade porcelain was just a tiny bit too light for me since it’s so full coverage and wiped out all of the color in my cheeks and nose, so I also bought color 118 and put one pump of each type in my hand blending it together before I apply to my face. Although it dries quickly and is matte, it doesn’t look cakey and it lasts VERY well for the price point! I’ve found that a creamy under eye concealer looks better with this type of foundation than a wand/drier type. Also – if you look on YT, you can find hints on how to actually get this bottle open without breaking glass if you wish to add in your own liquid blending drops.

Amazing Formula, but the shade options are wrong. Also dries down 3 shades darker

There's a few things that need to be addressed: The shade options on this listing are all wrong. Go by the listing and NOT by the option you chose. For example: I wanted Natural Beige so I selected Classic Ivory because it switches the listing to Natural Beige. Choosing the actual Natural Beige shade option changes the listing to Coconut and I DID NOT want that. So I am glad I went with my gut and went by the listing. I repeat: GO BY THE LISTING AND NOT BY THE SHADE SELECTED. Now about the actual product: This is probably the longest lasting foundation I've worn. It's lasting 12 hour shift days with no touchups and I don't look greasy at all. When I pair this with Skindinavia Bridal Spray and some powder, I can even blow my nose and not need concealer to retouch. A little goes a long way, you CAN look like a cake face when you apply too much. I prefer to apply this with a damp Real Techniques sponge and mix it with a BB cream for a natural finish. Now most importantly: shade matching. This foundation oxidizes THREE shades darker. For example: I thought "Golden" was my original shade. Nope! Seriously, when it dries down, you WILL look like you got a tan. I highly suggest going on the lighter side. I got bumped all the way to Sun Beige, then all the way to Natural Beige, and it finally matches my face and body. IF you keep these things in mind, this will be in your Holy Grail staple list.

Dont change it.

Im updating my review as I buy this monthly and the product I got this month, now says 30hr. I immediately noticed a difference. Its very dry. The color is different too. It cakes on my face and feels and looks aweful. I work outside in the Texas heat. It doesnt last any longer than the 24hr formula to me. Which was fine. Im disappointed as I now have to shop for another foundation again.
