Satiny Finish, Great Coverage - A Few Pointers

I am the whitest white girl you ever did see. I get this in the lightest shade (ivory) and it's still not a true match / is slightly too dark with a bit of a pink undertone. Why do I keep using it? Because it's the best drugstore foundation I've found overall. Without any foundation on, I have an uneven complexion with redness in my cheeks, chin and the creases of my nostrils. I also have dry skin that can be a bit flaky. If you're in my boat, here's what I do to make this foundation work for me: 1) Wash my face with warm water (no soap), exfoliate gently with a wet washcloth, and rub in a small drop of plain olive oil while my face is still moist, then pat dry with a towel. (Olive oil won't clog your pores, is great for reducing visible inflammation naturally, and contains many antioxidants to fight aging like those 100-year old mediterranean people with perfect skin who use olive oil for everything.) 2) I apply a pea-to-dime sized amount of foundation to the back of my hand. Using a stippling brush (I use the Real Techniques one - cheap, works great, lasts forever without shedding fibers), I dab this onto my cheeks first, then chin, then blend in everywhere else. Some people complain this foundation doesn't spread well / dries too quickly / showcases dry patches, but using this method with olive oil on the skin beforehand, particularly for those of us with dry skin, I believe eliminates those problems. It spreads beautifully and smoothly with olive oil as a barrier to the... Read More

EXCELLENT COVERAGE AT A GREAT PRICE...

I know its hard to try a new makeup overline but this one is well worth the attempt. I recommend holding the bottles up to your face at your local CVS pharmacy or Walmart first, the next time you are out n about running errands. Then write down the color and come back to Amazon to purchase in order to get the best price. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the full coverage that glides on softly. You only need a little to go a long ways. I ordered 2 right away in order to get the special of half off the 2nd one, which made me very happy! As i have mature skin it has become combination, a little dry at times especially in the Fall/Winter. Also, i needed one shade lighter than normal due to this time of year too. My go to fave brand, It Cosmetics, is soooo grossly expensive that especially due to needing to save up for the Holidays n Birthdays, i no longer could afford to order. I am so glad i tried the L'OREAL INFALLIBLE MAKEUP and that it had a special offer to boot. That actually was a big choice decider in trying it. Also, on my Smartnews there was an article on the top Makeups that actually do what they state they will, this was #2! I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tried n true makeup for full coverage. ENJOY ALL N KEEP SAFE.

Love it! You need to shake it.

I almost didn't get this because of some of the reviews saying it didn't spread well, it dried fast, it was too runny, etc. The answer to all of these issues seems to be shaking it first. I had those same issues but then I started shaking it to mix it up first. Once I started doing that I didn't have any issues. It goes on smooth, I have plenty of time to blend, I can build on it. It's not a full coverage but it's pretty dang close. If not blended or set well it does oxidize slightly but definitely doesn't turn my skin orange at all. This is by far the BEST foundation for this price point. I don't find it to be too matte at all (I mean it is MATTE, so I don't know what some reviewers were expecting...), it lasts a full day and I usually get a little oily shin in the afternoons and I don't with this at all. Looks natural and really smooths out my face and features. I've been using this for a while now and don't anticipate changing anytime soon. I've tried a lot of foundations over the years and for this price point, I feel it's the best. Of course, everyone's skin is different and their preferences are different (some like more of shimmer or satin look, this is matte so if that's not what you want, look for something else). I have since found just amazing reviews on multiple sites by people even comparing to foundations in the $50-$100 price point with no real noticeable difference. So if you are looking for a medium to full coverage matte foundation I encourage you to give i... Read More

Not full coverage but great for quick on the go make up and buildable for work and occasions

For reference I use W7 in the L’Oréal true match and my skin type is combination and oily in summer and has a nuetral .I mixed this 109 with 108 to get the right color. To start this is in no way full coverage at all. I have a very light acne scar and this doesn’t not cover it at all! If you want real full coverage this is not for you. If you want light, medium or buildable this will work for you. The finish is really pretty and if you use setting powder it doesn’t transfer too much on fabric masks. On medical masks it transfers more. Overall I got this on sale but it’s worth it at full price even though I bought 2. It reminds me a little of the old urban decay naked formula. For application I use 108 as a highlight/ concealer and 109 as a light “contour” and then I combine them for all over the face. 109 reminds me of cadiz my NARS in terms of warmth. Or a slightly lighter version of maple by too faced born this way.

Go-to inexprensive brand

Okay, so I usually buy a UD foundation which can be quite expensive, so when I don't want to spend that much money or my 2.5 is out-of-stock, this is my go-to brand. I love this foundation because it is a little bit more natural (but still has a matte texture), but goes with my skin tone fairly well. Plus the price is a great factor too. I would recommend for anyone wanting to try this, to actually go into a store and test it with their face to see which shade coordinates with your skin tone before you buy it online. Also, this foundation also lasts for a very long time like my UD product, but I use a beautyblender original to keep waste to a minimum as well. This does have a medium coverage, so if you are looking for something more covering (or less), I would go with something a little different. The good thing about this foundation is that on my skin (combo of dry and oily), it doesn't cause oiliness nor dryness to my skin. It also doesn't make fine lines and wrinkles look more apparent. So all in all, I love this brand as well as this foundation!

Works For Me!

I have very oily skin, but a dry t-zone. I use this foundation on areas of my face with broken blood vessels. Using just my fingertips to apply, It covers perfectly, without looking too heavy. I can use powder over it to 'seal the deal' and I'm set for the entire day. This make up stays in place, without rubbing off on anything, until i remove it at night, using just a wet, hot washcloth. The color if perfect for my fair skinned, red headed complexion. I also am able to use this to cover broken blood vessels on my legs, if needed. My mom uses it on her arms, as she is prone to bruising, due to medications she is on. So glad I decided to try this foundation, a little goes a long way, for me. =)

I use 101 & 103

I really like this foundation. One of my favorite YouTube make up artist uses it a lot as her drugstore foundation… Unfortunately most of the stores around me don't carry the lighter colors – the lightest color I could find is 103 natural bath which is quite a bit too dark for my skin. I ordered the 101 classic Ivory and it is much better. I have pretty fair skin so the 101 classic Ivory is the best shade for me during the wintertime I have found. I think that when summer comes around again I will probably order the 102 color once I have a bit of a tan. Right now as my tan is wearing off but isn't fully gone I mix three parts of the 101 with one part of the 103. I have noticed that the lighter 101 classic Ivory shade has it quite a bit less coverage than the darker shade… I find that I get the best coverage by applying my general face with a brush and then I use the bottom of a beauty blender to go over any areas with a little more foundation where I think I need more coverage.

Remarkable formula at an affordable price point!

First off, I have to note that I have combo skin. My T-zone gets oily throughout the day and the rest of my face is pretty normal so it's important for me to find a foundation that helps keep the oils at bay. I love this foundation's formula! L'Oréal Infalliable Pro-Matte is one of the best foundations I have ever tried, even compared to some of the higher ends products like Mac Studio Fluid Fix and BareMinerals BarePro. The formula is quite long-lasting and it doesn't smudge easily. It's a solid medium coverage, which looks pretty natural yet helps cover up imperfections like redness and texture. The tube in which the foundation comes is actually very convenient to grab on the go and stick it in my purse to touch up (if needed) throughout the day. The formula also doesn't irritate or dry out my skin like many other matte foundations do. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the product and 1 oz lasts a surprisingly long time! My only concern with this product is that I have a very fair complexion and the lightest shade in the range (Ivory) has more yellow undertones whereas I tend to have more pink undertones. I wish they had a shade lighter than Ivory, but the shade that I have is just a little too dark for my skin tone. Nonetheless, the formula is fantastic for a drugstore foundation!!

The coverage of the foundation is a light medium coverage ...

The coverage of the foundation is a light medium coverage. It is a matte finish, so you have to quick with the application of the foundation because it dries/ sets matte quickly. It does not contain sunscreen and does not irritate my acne prone skin. I have extremely oily skin, so no foundation keeps me oil free for long. This one didn't keep my oil away, but no foundation ever does. It alo lasted all day long, but becasue of my oily skin I do need to blot my face. I don't have an exact match in color for this foundation. I first purchased the 108 ( Caramel Beige ) but it was a bit too light. I then purchased the 109( Classic Tan ) and found it to be considerably darker than the 108, so I mix just a little bit of the 109 into the 108 to find a color that works for me. For help with choosing your shade, I'm a Warm Honey in the Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte Plus Poreless Foundation Makeup and a Golden Caramel in the Revlon Colorstay.
