Excellent Palette for amazing Price /Comparable to Urban Decay Naked 3!!!!

I'd like to share my thoughts and opinions with you, and also compare this palette to Urban Decay Naked 3 and L'Oreal La Palette Nude 2. Many individuals are unaware, L'Oreal owns both Maybelline and Urban Decay. So when I started testing this palette, I was looking for similarities between both new L'Oreal La Palette Nude 2 and also Urban Decay Naked 3 & which ill be providing examples. The Palatte comes with twelve (12) colors and two double-ended sponge applicators (photo 1) The back of palette (photo 2)- shows it broken up into 3 sets of four colors aka quads (see label on back of palette), I decided to break them up into quads (info on left) for these swatches to make it easy to understand: QUAD #1: (photo 3) hade #1 - Shimmery cream white with fine sparkle. This is the most sheer shade in the palette. Shade #2 - Shimmery light pink with fine sparkle. This shade is sheer as well, but can be built up a bit better than the cream white shade. Shade #3 - Shimmery light gray with yellow flash. In my opinion, this is the most unique and original shade in this palette. I can't think of another shade in my eyeshadow stash that is quite like this one. My swatch doesn't do this color justice--in real life this is a beautiful light gray, almost silver shade and there's a yellow (not gold, but yellow) flash to it when the light hits it just right. The pigmentation on this color is impressive, although it is powdery in texture. Shade #4 - Shimmery neutral brownish-taupe. The pi... Read More

Bargain Palette!

LOVE this palette! It has 12 beautiful shades that are perfect for daytime looks or can be layered for dramatic evening eyes. The compact is slimline, so it will travel well without bulking up your makeup bag or case. It comes with 2 full sized, double sponge applicators, which are, surprisingly good for on the go application without having to bust out your brush collection. I have fair but ruddy skin that soaks up eye shadow pigment but I have been able to use just one dip of most of the colors from this palette to achieve good results. The lighter colors are not as pigmented, so they do require a couple of dips to get better application of color. The coral-y and pink-y hues are on point for a trendy eye when paired with the deeper colors for crease and lining. With primer and setting spray, the color has long-lasting wear - even during the hot August days I have been using it. I have used this kit for a few days and have been very happy with the results, as they are comparable to my pricey Urban Decay palettes. I also bought the brown toned nudes collection from Maybelline and love it as well for evening. I will be using this palette for daily looks and will continue to purchase it, as it is such a bargain! My photos show the kit upon arrival and the color swatches are just one "swipe" each.

Pretty impressed, will buy more

Normally, I do not wear makeup. I work in a very small office, and see nobody during the day, so I see no reason. When I do wear makeup, it is usually hot pink or teal eyeshadow, never anything calm. And... I had a wedding to go to. A classy one, with fall colors and floor length gowns. This was a great shadow set. The size was great, the price was great, and the colors were great. It has suggested 2, 3, or 4 color combos laid together, but I did my own thing, and even used one as eyebrow fill and another to contour since I had no idea where mine had run off to about an hour before the wedding. It all looked great. The little wand applicator it comes with I did not use, I just used my regular brushes. I imagine the use for that is more for an emergency touch up than actually using to fully apply from home. I did use eyeshadow primer [too faced] and setting spray [urban decay] and I put the stuff on thick, but I had no shifting, cracking, smudging, creasing, thinning or rub off. This was my first time using Maybelline products since maybe middle school [15 years or so], and I am very impressed. I will probably get other large palettes from them to get a wide range of colors.

The is a great palette. The colors are not as pigmented as the Urban Decay Naked palette, but this is a good, cheap alternative. I love the gold and brown tones. I prefer to use the shimmery shadows because I think they show up better on my skin. They seem to be easier to build on compared to the more matte shades. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to save money or is just learning how to do makeup. With the right primer, the color will last all day.

Great eyeshadow for the price

I love this pallet & the colors. They are not as pigmented as colourpop or urban decay, but they are still nice and pigmented for the price!! I bought another version of it, because I love how they fit into a travel sized makeup bag or purse. I definitely recommend these. Make sure you prime your eyelids with something before applying, it will make it stay on longer with less creasing.

Good value for the price, great colors

Very good product for the price. Gorgeous colors and reasonably pigmented. I get better application using my own brushes than the wand that comes with the palette. My only complaint and the only reason it doesn't get five stars is that it doesn't last all day. Even using Urban Decay's primer it is very much faded at the end of my long (10-11 hrs) work day. I like it enough that I bought a second immediately after buying the first in case they discontinued it. I also use Urban Decay's Naked2 and Naked3 and, in comparison, they are more pigmented and last longer than the Maybelline palette. My favorite look uses the four on the right - they make an absolutely perfect look to wear with cool blues, greys, and blacks.

and it turned out to be one of my favorite palettes! I LOVE these colors

I picked up the palette because I needed to get the free one day shipping, and it turned out to be one of my favorite palettes! I LOVE these colors. It is comparable to the Urban Decay Naked palettes, and pigmented similarly. I've used this to create so many looks and it is my go-to palette for my every day look. My only gripe is that the palette is small and will need to be replaced quickly. I wish they made a bigger one. But for the price, it's great.

Pretty palette!

very pleased with this palette, nice range of colors (neutrals) and a great price! I can't see spending over $50 on Urban Decay or Tarte or some of the more prestigious lines for what are basically earth toned eyeshadows. I use a little primer on my lids, or a dusting of powder, then apply with a brush and VOILA! It's not rocket science, but Maybelline quality is fine. Fun to play with, too. Packaging is plastic but adequate. I do use a good quality makeup brush, not the small sponge brushes that come with it.

The Blushed Nudes

The colors were not as bright on my skin as I had hoped. They do require some layering to show up on darker skin tones. A good primer will save you from applying this more than once. It is a great and cheaper alternative to the Urban Decay palette. I would recommend this to anyone looking to save money or who is just learning how to do make-up.

Great colors

These are wonderful neutral colors. The backside shows three different ways to use and wear these. I found a great nyx eyeshadow primer that is almost a must with these. That's why I deducted a star. While this pack is nice & I'm very happy- Urban Decay it is not. I don't wear shadow enough to justify UDs price. This palette suits me just fine thank you.
